β β β β β UPDATE: picked up a California roll. Still awesome. E-Mart is still my go-to Korean market!
Great Korean market. I am able to get products that I can't get at T & T. Their new renovated sushi area is awesome. I have tried several of their Japanese and Korean rolls. The kimbap is delicious. Their California roll tastes fresh and yummy. As well, I had the bugolgi roll and spicy pork roll. I definitely drop by regularly to grab a roll to go. Also, they are my go to place to get salmon sashimi.

β β β β β Lived in Korea for years and this place brought me back to my happy days. Staff is very kind. Store is extremely clean abs well organized. Prices are a bit expensive, but itβs understandable since it has to be shipped half way around the world.
Bottom line Iβm going again

β β β β β The cashier donβt speak English and is rude !!!
The cashier is rude and she didnβt know how to speak English . She charged me $9.99 for a kimchi which is on sale for $7.99 . So I told her this is on sale for $7.99 .
She just canceled the order !
And asked me to pay for the rest , but I said this is on sale and why did you cancel it ? She just ignored me . So I went straight and peeled off the sale sign and showed it to her . She examined the bottle for quite a while and also the sign . OMG ! Why would I lied for only $2.00?
Finally she knew she was wrong and changed the price to $7.99 .
What a courtesy! I will never come back to this store again . Thanks

β β β β β Came here today to buy some kimbap/ Korean rice rolls similar to sushi for co workers . I requested chopsticks and napkins for utensils . I bought 7 packages and I could sense they were hesitant in giving me seven chopsticks
I Ran back in a second time with my son to add some kimchi and a sushi platter .
The kimchi sign said in English β2 containers of homemade kimchi for 16.99 , 10.99 each. β
unbeknownst to me ( I do not read Korean ) in Korean font the sign specified that it was a specific type of Korean kimchi . At the till the lady went to the price signage with me and explained to me the Korean font was referring to other variations of home made kimchi and not the Napa cabbage type (λ°°μΆκΉμΉ)
How am I writing this font in Korean now ? I speak Korean and understand it . I just canβt read it and used a voice to text option on my keyboard .
I suggested that they add the specific kimchi for the sale on the sign in English - All of the containers in that section of the fridge were shaped the same looked the same and had printed labels written in English that just said home made kimchi . In my opinion It was a very understandable mistake I made .
I asked for additional soy sauce for the sushi platter . A platter with over 24 pieces of various sushi- rolls , nigiri, and sashimi that came with two hidden packages of soy sauce .
The cashier that was serving me asked the other cashier ( that was the lady who I had first gone too to buy the 7 packages of kimbap and asked for 7 pairs of chopsticks ) to hand over some soy sauce to which the lady replied in Korean βI hate her , I donβt want to give her anyβ She reluctantly handed the soy sauce over and I immediately said I didnβt want any.
They had no clue I understood everything they were saying .
I had my 12 yr old son that also speaks Korean and also understood . He was upset .
I was not rude , I spoke calmly when requesting the utensils and also when I suggested that they modify the signage to include English descriptions of what specific items the sale applied too.
Itβs one thing to speak the language to communicate to other employees that have English as a second language - but to say negative things in Korean about a customer standing in front of them is so rude and incredibly disgusting . Totally classless and infuriating.
It creates suspicion and is so cowardly and pathetic .
I wanted to shout at her in Korean but I decided that battle wasnβt worth having .
I was embarrassed and ashamed but mostly angry with the staff.
To the lady who spoke so rudely behind my back in front of my son.

You are rude ,cowardly, and an embarrassment to all korean people. it is people like you that make negative impressions of koreans
Be better. Be kinder .
You have no idea how hard my day was and how difficult my life is .

β β β β β Nice shop with a huge selection of instant ramen, kimchi and fresh ready-made sushi. Our family prefers a certain brand of rice that's hard to find locally but it is sold here.

β β β β β Clean and has a good selection of Korean, Japanese, and some Filipino non perishable products.
Grocery wise is very limited, they offer main items but they have a great selection of meat (and high quality as well) as well as sushi grade frozen seafood
They also offer some hot/cold ready to eat meals that tough can pick up and take home.

β β β β β Great selection for Japanese & Korean groceries and many other Asian grocery. Lots of quality packaged and fresh goods. I really like their house made kimchi. We buy our sushi ingredients and their in house made sushi. Good selection of fresh vegetables. Prices feel fair. Many types of rice in 40lbs bags.
