β β β β β Experience was ok. Shipping to US thinking i could save money over Canada post. Got an estimate and was 20% cheaper. Yeah letβs go ahead. What i didnβt know is you have to pay in canadian dollars for US and have to pay their exchange NOT use credit card and pay their exchange rate. $1.49 exchange rate is ludicrous when banks are $1.33 today. So what started out as a good deal. Same price and faster thru Canada post. Disappointed. Thatβs where they make their money not the $5 to ship to border

β β β β β DYK is an amazing way to ship to the USA. I am cutting my customers shipping cost in half or more by using this great service. If not for DYK, I would not ship to the USA. Great savings on overseas shipping as well.

β β β β β I will try this company again for my business and be more adamant on arrival times but I waited 12 days from the time they asked for my original invoice for an update after I emailed and was told my information was submitted to the broker. I called today to get an update since waiting patiently for a tracking update, call or email. The lady at DYK Post Edmonton told me the package was there for me but wouldn't tell me why I didn't receive any update when it arrived or how much it costs to pick up. I had to ask several times to get the price. Seems very unprofessional.
How long has my item been there? You think they'd want the space not storing orders.
Service was not quick, no tracking or cost updates.
I will update my review on my next try.

My second order here is in limbo currently. Too bad they don't tell you the timeline up front. Is saving an unknown amount of money worth the 10 business days for Montana Mailbox to even put a ticket number on your package plus another 12 business days after you confirm DYK Post to clear the border? Not for me. There is no tracking information on the package once DYK Post gets it from Montana.
I will continue to pay UPS/DHL/FEDEX/Canada Post to clear my packages within the proper delivery window.

β β β β β I have been working with DYK since its inception and they handle approx 5000 packages for us every month. Very efficient, reliable and transparent. We used to have a warehouse in Arizona how ever with their help we have reduced our expenses by almost 60%

β β β β β Such great potential but the lack of communication with montana mail box which they say they have no connection with but they do! Is sad wanted to do lots of business with them but this is a big turn off !

β β β β β Shipping from the USA has become much more expensive than in the past. DYK charges a bunch of extra fees that can add up big time. Disbursement fees, fuel surcharges, cred card fees, etc. in addition to high brokerage fees and USA receiving (through a partner).
Service has really slowed down, too. My last package took over two weeks for them to import and have ready for pickup in Edmonton, with a total cost much higher than expected.
The staff has gotten increasingly rude and unhelpful. If you have a question there's a good chance they'll snap at you. I've taken my import business to another company that is simpler and much less expensive. I can get a package up to 20 lbs imported for a flat $18.50 CDN (plus tax and duties) and pick it up in my neighbourhood. Goodbye DYK.

β β β β β Wildly different experiences during 2 consecutive days. I ship out trading cards via letter mail from Canada to the US. Recently started using ebay standard envelop with tracking. Ebay classifies this as a letter mail, charges a letter mail rate and provides its own tracking services. I go to drop off one test package and it costs me $0.25. I'm thinking this is awesome. Way cheaper than the other guys I am using. Next day go to do the same thing and I am being told it is a parcel delivery and am being charged $1 dollar for it. It may not seem like much but the margins for trading cards are pretty thin. That drastic of a change makes for a bad customer experience, especially when the package is a letter mail, is classified as a letter mail by both Canada Post and USPS, but I am being charged parcel rates to ship it. Your competitors are cheaper and their websites are more intuitive and straightforward for shipping. I literally drive across town to ship with them for those reasons even though your North Edmonton location is less than 5 minutes walking distance from my house. Would not recommend.
Response to owners reply: Letters through ebay for trading cards now have internal tracking via "Ebay Standard Envelope" in partnership with USPS, it is still classified as letter mail. Fix your rates.

β β β β β I really want to support this business, but the service has just gotten so slow recently. You now either experience delays on the Montana Mailbox side, the DYK Post side or both (sometimes several weeks). The response from this business / what is written on their website is always something along the lines of "this service is not meant to be fast". But obviously the customers remember when this service was faster and have noticed things get slower. My advice to this business would be to listen to your customers. Find ways to improve your logistics to improve your processing speeds as clearly what you're doing now isn't meeting the expectations of those who use your service.
