★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A challenging yet awesome airfield. There is a lot of talent and skill evident in the many projects in various stages of completion, the highlight being a Stearman, serial #3.
Sadly, this aviation enthusiast aerodrome is tenuously maintaining its space as the encroaching demands of the gravel pit draw ever closer. The tenants are nervous.
Southern Vancouver Island has slowly been eliminating recreational aviation space both on the ground and in the air. Other than Victoria International Airport (CYYJ) and Cassidy Airport (CYCD) there are few places for aviation enthusiasts to gather and share their passion with their flying machines and their knowledge, skills and stories with each other.
