C	Chris V on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the disposable world that we live in where most people just throw away products that need fixing it is great to have a place like Dunbarton. I first stumbled across this repair shop a few years ago when I needed to fix a Paradigm sub-woofer. The manufacturer gave me an absurd cost to fix it so I started calling people in the Ajax area and fortunately found these guys who gave me an estimate that made it worthwhile to fix. The sub-woofer original cost me around $600 years ago and they fixed it for just over a hundred. I recently had problems with my 18 year old Marantz receiver and taken it to a certified dealer in the area and they told me it was unfixable and needed a new main board which was not available. This amp cost me originally well over a thousand dollars years ago and I was not ready to throw it on the scrap heap. So I called Dunbarton which I should have done in the first place and for around 200 dollars was able to get the amp up and running again. It would have cost me a hell of a lot more to replace it with a comparable receiver. I will recommend Dunbarton to anyone who needs electronics fixed and will be using them for all my future repair needs. Thanks for all your help.
K	Kayla on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my smart tv here to get fixed and it was required to leave a $20 deposit that would go towards fixing the tv. After 3 months our tv was unable to be fixed at all and was told that we would not be getting our $20 deposit back, which we were not told at the time. Overall I think this place is very petty for that. You had my tv for months and then when I sent my partner today to pick up (11.12.2018) after no communication was made basically the whole time you were trying to "repair" and kept saying when we called "one more week, one more week", you want to tell him that the deposit is because you held the tv for that whole time? Terrible service I would never recommend this place to anyone. Must not be getting that much business to keep $20 from a customer that had no service done. Your lucky I did not go there to pick up the tv myself! Edit: to your reply: No, you did not tell us to ever come get it and no you didn’t say it could not be fixed nice try though! You told us it would cost less than the price of the tv, then you told us $900 to repair, then you said when he went to pick up that it was over $1,000 to repair. You told me on the phone don’t worry about the 30 day policy because you were trying to fix the tv. It doesn’t matter what you say online through your reviews, people will see for themselves after going there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!!! In less than a day we found a place to repair our tv for only $475 and same day service!

D	Danielle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my 40" philips tv here because of a crack and the guy was very honest and told me it wasn't worth repairing as it would cost more to order the screen and fix it than buy a new one so I ended up seeing what he had for sale and we settled on a LG 1080p 40" for $250 which was an amazing deal! He ended up also letting me leave the old one there to get rid of so I wouldn't have to do it myself! Great service and would definitely recommend!
G	Geoff DeCarlo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They picked up a tv for warranty work. The mounting arms (?) were never removed from the tv. I called a few times to arrange for them to be picked up. When I showed up, I was informed that they may have been thrown out. They couldn't locate them. Had to spend 100$ on a new mount.

A	Alex Martens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Keep away from this place! Dunbarton Radio's suggested repair cost of $400-500 turned out to be $50. I brought in my 43" LG 43UD79-B monitor with not working screen. Danny quite quickly detected that the problem was with the control board. When I picked the monitor up, he said that they had tested my monitor with a new control board and that did not help. So, the new diagnosis was a problem with some screen electronics which they might fix for $400-500. I was about to give up on my monitor but found the same monitor with the screen damage for $50 on kijiji and decided to give it the last try. I replaced the control board from that broken monitor to mine monitor, and everything is working! One more piece of my disappointment was that when I was taking the monitor apart it had only 2 bolts out of 10, and some wire holding clips were missing :-(
