In my professional practice (legal translation) I deal mostly with official/legal documents intended for international use and Joy always gets notarization done properly and in strict compliance with the requirements of Foreign Affairs Canada (which is not a given among notaries in this city, make no mistake about it). However, I was treated like a child and felt I was not taken seriously. When asked if I participated in illegal behaviour with an individual I am going against in court and said no, she huffed and stared at me as if I was lying. She then became impossible to reach wasting almost a month of my time. My situation and need for representation are very difficult and time and time again I feel ignored and fear for my son in a broken system. this experience was no different.
