I got my driving permit today after passing the road test. Allan or Al was my examiner and it was a wonderful experience. I got 22 driving years experience in my country but still feel nervous for awhile until he put me at ease. No power tripping felt or anything on him. His instructions are clear and repeats if needs be. Really amazing. Another milestone in my end. Thank you Drive Test and Al for that wonderful experience.

I got my G2 and G license from Sudbury Drivetest. The staff here is amazing. They provide good amount of instructions before the test starts. Also inform you about the speed limits in advance. Also for bonus, drive from GTA to Sudbury was totally worth it!

If I could give this 0 starts I would. Michelle has got to be the worst driving instructor Ive ever seen. She is the most rude and unapologetic person I’ve ever met. Only gives directions at the last second which are often unclear and then docs you points for that even thought she was vague or only gave you half the instructions. Tells you to make sure you are doing the speed limit and then on a ramp says to me, and I quote “that’s just an estimate you can speed up” referring to the speed limit. If you don’t turn your head 360° to look at your mirrors it’s considered not looking at all. The worst part of my experience with her was when we reviewed my test. She never showed me anything just waved around the ipad expecting me to understand. And never gave me any type of paper saying I failed. She made up rules that don’t exist just to fail me. She told me I failed in the most rude manor and then proceeded to repeat 3-4 more times “that was bad” “you definitely failed” “you did really bad” after I had already started crying. She then got out of the car with no remorse, said “you can book again in 10 days”, slammed the door and left. What a miserable woman. If you hate your job that much, find another one. The entire driving experience was awful and I hope she gets reported. It’s bad enough that I failed without proved logical reasoning but the comments? Completely unnecessary.

Passed my G test second time around, thanks to the nice blonde lady, I forget her name, but she was a good examiner. Gary on the other hand, if you see him walking towards your vehicle, at that point, just tell him to go back inside and not waste your time because chances are high that he’s gonna fail you anyways.

The automated phone system is complete garbage. Called back 5 times it kept mishearing me and cancelling the call , finally got through completely and couldn’t book an appointment it just told me the operator hours. Would have been nice to know that from the start instead of spending 30 minutes listening to the annoying voice and filling out completely useless information. I don’t understand the point of booking a appointment on the phone if you have to wait to speak with an agent. Shouldn’t have that option then! Spent 30 minutes to be told I have to call back during operation hours. Ridiculous!!

I had my G drive test today at the Sudbury location, the worst instructor I could have. Unfortunately I do not remember his name, but just because of their personal issues, they fail young drivers like us. He was so so so rude. I had passed my G2 in the first attempt itself and today the instructor was so rude on me while driving. Really bad. The staff were welcoming and good but the instructor.. seriously I think change your road test location if possible or else you’d leave this place crying.

I booked my G test in July for the next available date which happened to be 7 months later in January. I put it my calendar immediately, 9:45am. The day of the test arrives and I get to the test centre at 9:20 and go inside at 9:26 and they tell me I missed my test. They show me it was actually scheduled for 9:24am. I must have read the wrong time when I scheduled it, 7 months ago. Even though I was only two minutes late for the real test time, they refused me. Instead they offered to put my name on a wait list for the day and if the driving instructor had time, I could be accommodated. I wasn’t able to give my phone number, I had to sit in the parking lot from 9:30am until 2:30pm when the instructor came out and I took my test. Between that time no one gave me any information on a potential time for my test, or an approximation of how much longer I would be waiting. I went inside three times and to ask and each time they told me nothing, in fact every time they seemed surprised that I was waiting at all. Is there no communication? I ask, why wouldn’t they call or email a reminder of the test? Were those two minutes so vital to the day that I couldn’t start my test then? My entire day was shot and so was 30$ worth of gas, because it just happened to be -22 and I had to have my car on. There must be a better way than this. Extremely disappointed. What a waste of a day.

The examiner I met at this location was very nice. I previously did my G2 test at a different location & it was so scary. I did my G at this location and the examiner was friendly and made me feel much more calm. Driving tests are scary, having a good examiner makes a huge difference
