I came in to get my hair dreaded, and came out not only with beautiful locks, but met someone who is passionate about her craft, who cares for the people she meets, and who is a downright honest human being. I've been planning to get dreadlocks for years. For the longest time, I didn't even think it would be possible to achieve dreads for my hair type (fine, straight Asian hair). But like you, as I did my research, and if you're lucky enough to live in Toronto, all roads lead to Krista. You will not be disappointed in choosing Dread Love. I was welcomed with warmth, and treated with great care and attention. Krista takes her time and ensures you are comfortable, the whole way through. My time there was filled with both delicious conversations, and beautifully quiet moments. Krista never rushed through the process, gave breaks when needed, and was full of insight. Further than that, Krista is a fascinating human being. I only wished we had more time together so I could pick her brain a bit more. I'll definitely come back, and I highly recommend Dread Love!

I get compliments and questions about my hair almost every day! "Did you have your hair done around HERE? You have to tell me WHO!" Krista is also smart, personable, artistic and fun! Hours in her chair are hours very well spent. I definitely recommend Dread Love!!

I came to Krista for first time locs, with extensions installed to add significant length. From the moment we connected, everything was excellent. Krista was responsive to my messages, made time to consult with me and steered me in the r if by direction in choosing real vs synthetic extensions - sooo much nicer looking dang. Once I knew she was the right fit, booking was super easy. I spent two days in her gorgeous and cozy studio, and throughout both sessions she worked super efficiently. We had such great and inspiring conversations, which were totally unexpected and so clarifying for me, it was a lot more than a hair appt - it was like hair + life coaching + relaxation all in one. And it just flowed so naturally. We had long periods of comfortable silence too. Hands down the best hair experience EVER. Just wow. When we were done, I had exactly what I wanted, and more. This was a milestone and transformation for me, and Krista facilitated it gracefully - totally authentic and genuine. I get compliments on them regularly, and from people I never would’ve expected to. Every single person says “wow they really suit you”, and 3x now I’ve heard “love the vibe” Now my outside matches my inside! ? Krista, you literally changed my life, girl. And my hair. Thanks for making me feel seen, boosting my confidence, inspiring me, and whipping up these badass locs. Thank you ?
