We agreed and work started immediately, was done very quick, and when they were done the site was dry and cleaner than when they had arrived. All was well until they found some not to code plumbing which they said would require extra work (some jackhammering) and cost. Fine, but the price went up more than $3K for that day of work on a $1200 quote after the job was started. I found myself stuck. That would have been fine and bad luck if they had done the work properly. Instead, they cut off the drainage pipe into the storm sewer for the sump pump, which was not to code, but they did NOT reroute the sump outflow to drain into the garden. So, when it began to rain hard I noticed that the sump pump in the basement was filling up dangerously high, even though the pump itself was working. Got in my usual plumber who confirmed that the sump pump had no where to drain to. I urgently called Drain City back, explaining their mistake. Their grumpy staff person came and did the drainage, saying nothing about the deficient work they have done in the first place. In short, this company failed to create any drainage for my sump pump after cutting off its original drainage system, putting my entire basement at risk of flooding (again), all while installing a back flow valve to prevent that. Never again!

I had contacted Draincity in order to prevent any more damage to the basement and they had recommended me to install a sump pump to protect our basment from future flooding where back-ups are very common. The company had also informed us that we are able to apply for a city rebate which gave us $1250 back from the original price. I am very proud of Dmytri and his team to help my basment stay dry, and I would highly recommend giving a call for this service. :)

The technician Dmytri had recommended to install a back-water valve after telling him this was not the first time the basement had flooded. After the service was done I was amazed by their work ethic and how quick the service was done, I would highly recommend them to any homeowners for this service.

Informed them that we needed to cancel because we would have customers in the store. Lady answering phones said she would contact us but never did. Week later called to reschedule and was lectured and told they did no want our business. Technicians are great, the people in the office and logistics are not.
