A must stop while in Chinatown. Fun to watch them make it right in front of you and yummy too. Bring the kids and watch there eyes light up. Inexpensive and tasty for a cheap price.

Nice little shop. They even have egg waffles. They sell them plain (no ice cream) for 4$. Personally, I don't like the dragon beard, but you have to try it for yourself before you can judge.

A small store located inside Montreal Chinatown. The dragon beard candy is worth getting because it's freshly made and delicious. Extremely recommended because it's their specialty but it's not so different for the ones you get from the grocery store. However the egg waffles are not. The egg waffles are not authentic. This one tasted like bubble cake. It was not crispy on the outside at all. It was soft and soggy, more of a cake texture then how egg waffles are supposed to be. Not recommended

I've never seen or heard of this before so I had to try it. So neat to watch them make the candy right in front of you. They are delicious and I was sad that I couldn't take some home for family to try (not sure they would keep for long). The payment system they've established putting the change out for customers to make their own change is genius. The candy maker has sticky hands, so I can't imagine having to deal with money while also making the candies. So efficient.

Great little place in Chinatown. They make the Dragon Beard Candy right in front of you. One reviewer described it best, a mix between halva and cotton candy and stuffed with nuts and sesame... although I found the sesame was the most dominate flavour, but I like that! They are very tasty, and very hard to only have one!

Great traditional candy, which isn’t easy to find these days. The dragon beard candy here is really good, not too sweet and has the perfect texture

I honestly don't know how many places in Canada sell dragon's beard candy, let alone a specialty store for it. If you've never had it, imagine silky cotton candy wrapped around sugar and nuts; it's a fun, delicious treat. The shelf life is less than a day or melts under any heat, but it's worth trying!

Walk by too fast and you'll miss this very unique candy shop (kind of like The Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter). This handmade, traditional Chinese treat similar to cotton candy (but with way less sugar) is nuts... literally. Peanuts, sesame and coconut covered in hand pulled, twisted and stretched gooey sugar for the very low price of $4.50 for a box of 6 is more than worth trying.
