β β β β β Overall, I am very disappointed with this workshop. My 11 years old son started March last year. He said the classes are very boring and the owner is rude, he doesn't want to go back and attend the classes there.
In addition, I found it's misleading to let employees rate their own company online. Daniel Yu who rated Dr. X workshop 5 stars here is one of the employees at Dr. X workshop, he taught my son Python recently.
[Update] Daniel, given the fact that you do receive payment from Dr. X, there is a conflict of interest!!! It's obvious that your review is biased.

β β β β β My son joined Dr X Academyβs FIRST LEGO LEAGUE program. He took the robotics programming class and mechanics class learned a lot! He had such a good time with his team this year! Now he is starting his WRO competition training! This is the best robotics school in Toronto!

β β β β β My son's favorite after school program. He learned robotics, mechanics, coding. I am so glad to see he turns his game addiction into game making as well as robotics. I am glad he find his passion. Dr X inspires him. Definitely recommend to other parents!

β β β β β FAKE REVIEWS DURING COVID? You have to wonder if all their glowing reviews of Dr X Academy of Robotics and Coding are fake since all the recent reviews start with "Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value".
The program is supposed to be self taught. The ratio of students to instructors is about 30+ to 0. It's only a non technical administrator available most of the time who cannot teach. Tough to learn much from such an workshop environment
Some students/parents are writing here that they have learned alot from Dr X's classroom but until you have tried another school, you may not realize how much time and money you are wasting to have your child unsupervised here. My child has been at another school for some time now and it's like night and day the difference. I won't name the other school as readers may think I am trying to promote the other school.
Their teams have won some competitions before but the efforts are from the parents/administrators and then the kids take the credit. Also, if your child is not in one these competition teams (you need to pay extra for this too), you will be completely ignored.
A poorly run, chaotic excuse for a robotics school. Little structure and attention to the students. They say it is found by Dr Xie and a team of computer engineers. It is really just only Dr Xie and he is only a self promoter, not a teacher. Parents, save your money and try another school.

β β β β β My kids have been attending a variety of robotics classes in different locations for quite some time now. Dr X Academy is by far the most professional and offers the greatest potential for my children's growth and discovery of robotics. Not only did Dr X Academy help my children find their passion and interest in robotics, they have also changed my students for the better into kids that really want to make change and have an impact on the community. The classes also have many hands-on and open-ended projects where my kids were able to work on projects that they were interested in! The coaches are very kind, knowledgable and respectful towards parents. Definitely would recommend!

β β β β β My son loves Dr X Academy! He has studied three years now. He see the workshop like a home to him. He met a lot or kids with likeminded. Itβs amazing to see that he found his passion.
I see some false reviews by competitors. Totally not necessary. I donβt believe there could be parent who would say bad words when they see their kids learn and grow.
