★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hate to be the first person to leave a less than happy review but here goes.
Dr. Semeniuk was referred to me by an optometrist in Kelowna. I had been told it may be 4 to 6 weeks before he would get back with me.
When I followed up a few weeks later I was told by a staff member that Dr. S doesn't do surgery that isn't covered by BC health.
Since I'm only here for the winter I would have to go elsewhere.
My concern isn't that he only serves clients covered by BC Health but that his office couldn't be bothered to notify me. A quick all would have saved me a lot of trouble.
Had his office been able to follow up with me in a timely manner this review would not have been two stars. I don't care how good you are if your staff isn't following up you aren't going to be recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doctors at the office are Great, They over book appointments. My husband had an appointment for 10am, they called the day before and asked us if we could be there at 9:45, sure no problem. We arrived at 9:30, no parking at all. We had to go across the street to the park to find parking, along with many other patients at that clinic. My husband arrived at 9:45, the office was packed. So much for following COVID Protocol. He tried to take a seat but was told to go wait outside. Receptionist says there are no benches outside, so go sit out on the rock. We'll call you when we are ready for you. He sits and waits, many more patients are going into the office it is now 10:30. My husband is not well just recovering from cancer surgery and is stage 4 kidney disease. He was sick and couldn't wait any longer He made the decision that he would not be staying for the appointment, went in and let the receptionist know. We called this morning to reschedule an appointment. They told my husband he is no longer welcome to come to the office. They are sending a letter to the family doctor requesting him find another eye doctor. So because they overbooked way too many appointments, he is being denied access to the eye doctor and punished? Will be filing a formal complaint with Interior Health.
