Dr. Tsuyuki made the Cataract surgery a non event. Friendly and interested in my life and hobbies he made sure my new lens would maximize my hobby toy sail boat racing. The procedure was professional and uneventful.Dr. Tsuyuki along with a very friendly happy staff are excellent.

Dr. Tsuyuki's office is the worst and most unprofessional medical office I have ever been to. We had to spend 3.5 hours at this appointment due to their lack of proper scheduling. There were way too many patients booked in. If you can't do your appointments properly and are falling behind, you shouldn't be booking so many patients just to get money. Deal with your patients properly- that should be the main priority of a doctor. Also, there were absolutely NO covid protocols being followed. The office was beyond full; no social distancing or being 6 feet apart rules were followed. Everyone else has to abide by limited gatherings but this office looked like it had a party going on. Patients were using the same chairs, moving from one chair to the next, and no sanitization was being done by staff. They couldn't even spray chairs down in between patients. Not only that, all chairs were in use and right beside each other - no blocked off chairs and social distancing between them. I even talked to the doctor about it and he brushed me off. I talked to the receptionist and she replied "Covid is gone basically it's not a big deal anymore". The staff was so rude and so unprofessional. It's hard to believe this is how a doctor's office was during Covid, when they should be the safest of all. If you want to party, head over to Dr. Tsuyuki's office.

Dr. Tsuyuki is good at what he does but he kept us waiting for 2.5 hours before the cataract surgery when it was at Surrey Memorial hospital. I'm sorry but that is unacceptable. I felt badly for the nurses who did their best to be supportive while we sat there in the windowless basement part of the hospital waiting forever. The office assistants are friendly but the fellow who does the follow-up right after the surgery at Dr Tsuyuki's office was arrogant. He spoke abruptly to us - he would become impatient if he had to repeat the question more than once - and it was clear that he was tired and perhaps hates his job. What a shame because Dr. Tsuyuki is very kind and friendly so it's unfortunate that this other fellow works for him

Dr. Tsuyuki has a good surgery skills. However, his office staffs are aweful. They are intimidating, unkind you name it. their client handling skills must be improved. If his office were not a medical office, it would have already been out of business because of his staffs. If I have an option to select ZERO star, I definitely do that.

I was not impressed at all by the negative reviews, so much so I was seriously not going to see him. I had previously seen another opthamolgist a year prior, and was not happy with his terrible bedside manners. I canceled because he was so abrupt and I thought I refuse to see this guy again. That's not how you treat your clients like cattle. Then I was refered to Doctor Tsuyuki by my optometrist. I went home and read these reviews on this platform and was horrified! I went back to my optometrist crying. So so concerned. He reassured me that he has know him for years and does a very good job, very professional! He even said that his mother and father lives in Alberta but if they lived here he would recommend Doctor Tsuyuki to them, and as he said "I too would have him as my first choice, honestly." When I went and saw Doctor Tsuyuki I was so pleasantly surprised at how he treated me, and welcomed any questions of my concern. He acted above the call of duty. He was so patient and kind! As well as he took the time and was very loving, Excellent bedside manners to say the least. As regards the receptionist sure maybe one was a little perhaps maybe stressed, but nothing I cant handle, as I would not want thier job, as I might be less patient.! After all we are human, and don"t expect PERFECTION from anyone. If you show people respect, do you not think the Golden rule would apply in every situation in life? :) I gave a five star because the staff, and the doctor Deserve it, sincerely. As regards to waiting get over it, that's life. We have to understand the times are different and with this pandemic, extra consideration, and patience should be applied. Just be happy and appreciate that we even can get in to see any specialist at this time. We are NOT in Ukraine, and have to remind ourselves that we are privileged and to have a wonderful well trained ophthalmologist as Doctor Tsuyuki! I represent myself. P.S. please do not always believe everything you hear and half what you see Lol. Good day
