β β β β β I went to Dr.Ng's office both at Thornhill and Markham location. Dr. Ng is very nice doctor, he does tend to be late and thus I'm taking one star off, but regarding the receptionist being rude review, I must say they do have some quite rude patients there. Last time I saw a person yelling at the receptionist because she asked him to show his health card.
The receptionist hasn't gave us any trouble.

β β β β β I moved here from a different province and was given Dr. Ng from Health Ontario referral. I find him to be very condescending and tells me "I must think I am special" when requesting certain services, after experiencing Bell's Palsy. His staff of young girls are very rude and giggle at Dr. Ng's condescending comments to me over the phone. In my opinion this is very unprofessional. If I could give no stars, I would.

β β β β β I have been a patient at Dr. Ngβs office for approx. 18 years. His team is very professional and knowledgeable. I have had nothing but positive experiences with both Dr. Ng and Dr. Musclow. Ms. Musclow has been very supportive, non-judgemental, open-minded and updated on medical practices and medications. Appointment bookings are very reasonable (within a few business days, you will receive an in-person appointment or over the phone). However, I would like to point out that if you are calling to book an appointment, be prepared to have to speak to an extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL secretary. Her phone etiquette is HORRIFIC and UNACCEPTABLE. This is not just a βbad dayβ for her β¦β¦ itβs been like this for YEARS!!!!!! Fortunately though, if you happen to get lucky and get one of the βotherβ administration staff/secretaries, you will be happy. ?? ?

Appointments are usually available within a week or so. The experience is average since I have not checked out other family physicians since many years ago. The clinic environment is bit unexpected...hope they can clean more often especially the washroom...
One suggestion for Dr ken is that please take more time to explain to patients about their health conditions or results instead of saying everything is fine and there is no need to worry. An average patient may not have much background information about the medical terms and concepts. I am sure people will appreciate that in the long run.
Another big reason for this low rating is that they have a very rude and impatient young female receptionist....try to avoid talking to her as she can become mad for no reason when you want to reschedule more than once for legit reasons. Other receptionists are good and much better than her. Hope they can have better staff than that lady and environment for patients. Otherwise will definitely consider switching family physician in the future. Would NOT recommend to anyone.
