I was referred to her for whatever reason and when I went she didn't even listen to what I had to say and just prescribed some random medication without considering my age or my symptoms and when I went back to her to discuss my complications that had occurred as a result of that medication, she told me I couldn't do anything about it and it wasn't her responsibility because I had signed a consent. Very unprofessional.

The second I met Azar, I was questionable if i should be there. I was treated without respect without any concern of my well being and the fact that she simply did not care. I was clearly wasting my time talkiΓ±g with this "So called Doctor". I have serious joint imflammation and all I want to do is get some advice and or direction on how to slow down the process. I received none. I can only hope for future patients of hers that she simply was having a bad day. I left angry and very disappointed in the professionalism of Dr Azar Bahrami. The code of conduct is at question.

My mom went in to get cortisone injection in her hands. Dr. Bahrami could not inject the needle properly into her thumb and the cortisone spilt out when she pulled the needle out after using excessive amount of force. She tried to force the needle into her thumb and caused her excruciating pain. She said that the infection would alleviate the pain for a year. After weeks of recovery, she only got 2 months of benefit. She is in worse pain now than she was before she went in to get the injection.

This doctor is extremely unprofessional, My father was referred to her after attending credit valley hospital as she is considered a "specialist". This doctor lacks basic bedside manners ANY health care provider should have. Lack of active listening skills, lack of communication and lack of attention to detail. She threw my father on medication that did not make a difference to his condition. Her office called my dad for a follow up after 3 weeks, and asked if his symptoms had improved. He told them there was no improvement and then her office proceeded to tell him maybe he should wait longer to see results. Once he sees results he can come in .... Is this doctor trying to treat patients who are already healed or to get to the bottom of their health problems that require healing?

I'm an athlete and hiker that now can't get out of bed without tears. I'm on crutches for the 6th month due to mystery pain in my foot and ankle and have little use in my hand, among so many other out of the blue joint pain problems. My world has done a 180. Over the phone Dr. Bahrami took me off the anti depressants that had been previously prescribed (used for nerve pain) and put me on a new med that don't help. Not only was there no follow up re: med transition which has gone terribly, but she has refused to take a phone call since or meet me in person. She was my final hope for these mystery pains and sleepless nights. I've called many times and have literally cried to the receptionist of the severity, and I can't even get a call back or a referral for someone that will meet me in person. She has not meet her fiduciary duty as a doctor and I feel so let down with no idea where to turn next. Shame on this clinic for letting another person fall through the cracks of our health care system. This is the pain and problems that people commit suicide over.

I accessed Dr. Azar Bahrami’s care approximately 3 months ago on the recommendation of my family doctor. From the onset, I felt comfortable with her because, in my estimation, she exemplifies what humanistic psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers called Patient-Centered Therapy. In this approach, patients are provided with an environment that is genuine, empathetic, transparent, courteous, and professional. In such an environment, patients are in the driver’s seat of their treatment/care. Patients feel like there are part of the process rather than being dictated to by the doctor. Dr. Bahrami provided that for me because I was not handling the condition I am forced to live with now, very well. She constantly reassured me that there is a solution to my issues, and she will support me through the process. For instance, ever since the diagnosis, I began researching the condition vigorously and found a treatment option experts in the field consider to be experimental. I immediately requested a phone conference to discuss this finding with her. Dr. Barhami called me back and allowed me to vent about my current plight and research discovery. She listened intently and gave feedback on what she knew about the treatment. We then collaboratively worked out a treatment plan, which is currently in effect. I must tell you; I am feeling 98% better physically and emotionally since seeing Dr. Bahrami. As such, I am grateful for the fact that I was able to find a doctor, apart from my family doctor, that listens, and includes me in the planning phase of my treatment. Thank you Dr. Bahrami, you did not only solve the issues I came to you about, but you reassured me that Patient-Centered Care is not a myth: you exude it. Thank you for your encouragements, professionalism, transparency, and authenticity. I am forever grateful.
