I had severe sharp pain from cysts last week and left several Messages and it took several days to receive a return call. They gave me an appointment over 30 days from now which is too long to wait. Luckily I got in this week with another gynecologist who is more concerned about my pain. Very disappointed in the lack of patient care.

Dr Nguyen is amazing. I was thrilled to have her as my obstetrician throughout my pregnancy and also for my delivery. My spouse is an Oby/Gyn so when I wanted to go to Dr. Nguyen he knew she would be a great fit. Despite my spouse's occupation she still took the time to explain everything to me and go through all my concerns, she did not assume I already knew all the information I needed to know. Dr. Markowski who Dr Nguyen works with is also great. I highly recommend.

I hope this review will be received as an opportunity to make improvements on patient centricity. I have had a number of appointments with Dr. Nguyen all of which I've been happy with. However their booking/appointment system needs significant work. I showed up for a scheduled appointment recently (as per the appointment info I received over the phone from the clinic) only to be told this appointment was for the previous month, and that I was required to pay $100 if I wanted to rebook with the clinic, since I'd missed it. There was zero ownership of the fact I had been misinformed and zero flexibility on this policy or consideration for circumstances. While I appreciate missed appointments are missed payment for the Dr, I also expect some flexibility/grace, especially for patients who do not have a track record of no shows, and when the clinic has a role to play in the missed appointment. Sending appointment reminders via text message 4 months in advance does not serve as an appointment reminder, and certainly does not eliminate "no shows" (my case in point). Please consider sending your patients appointment notifications 2-3 weeks in advance - had this been the case, I would have been able to flag the discrepancy with the booking with no time lost for either party. Also, please phone the patient if there's a missed appointment. It does not make sense to phone their MD instead. These appointments are hard to get, nevermind a months delay because the patient has not been informed. Lastly, return a patient's call. I phoned the clinic the morning of my appointment (left a voicemail) asking a question, which the receptionist received because she made it clear she was expecting me! Instead of letting me drive in and pay for parking, take 60 seconds to call and let me know I don't have an appointment. My hope is that these suggestions will be considered so that the patient experience can improve.
