I had the pleasure of dealing with Josh and Trevor they are both amazing at customer service, I feel that Josh went above and beyond. I highly recommend them for all your car needs !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've used these guys for a few jobs in the past. Serviced my RVs engine and a few vehicle inspections. However what drove home how good these guys were was when my truck was having issues. Three mechanics including a dealership all took major money off me and when I took it to them they were able to diagnose the real problem and repair the issue. I was kicking myself I didn't bring it to them sooner. Can't recommend them enough. Professional friendly and all smart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Drive a large Dodge diesel and my drive shaft U joints went. It was a late Wednesday and I had a wedding to attend for a Friday back in Kelowna. After looking everywhere for a mechanic and was told by numerous shops they were booked for weeks I started feeling hopeless. Untill I talked to Josh @ Downes auto. He got me in immediately and they did a great job. The best part was the guys were professional, friendly and affordable. They even tied up my exhaust I broke off wheeling without asking. These are the little things that make a great shop. I would highly recommend these guys! Don’t even look at any other shops just call Downes Auto.

My vehicle started mis firing and I’m from out of town, I fortunately found this shop and as a walk in they bailed me out. Started diagnosing right away.The guys here went above and beyond. Very reasonable with pricing too.

Random analogy but just hear me out. My comfort and confidence levels in car maintenance and repairs is probably similar to how some guys feel being sent to pick up *shudder* feminine hygiene products! Except in that scenario, even flat out wrong decisions based on poor advice are likely to cost less than $50, and that includes the chocolates being thrown while backing away.
However, incorrect auto advice based on rushed jobs, “just trust me” ego, improper procedures, or flat out greed, can absolutely devastate someone’s vehicle and/or finances. It’s easy to understand auto maintenance and repair hesitancy.
Josh at Downes Automotive was an absolute gem! He was friendly, professional, understanding, and worked with me to find the best course of action for my car’s situation in a timely manner. All while saving me money in unnecessary fixes. I’m so grateful to have found a trustworthy and honest auto shop that’s also locally owned and operated.
