The server was kind and the aesthetic of the store is nice for hangouts with lots of seating. Not the best experience overall, though. We were told to take a seat and wait for the menu, but we didn't receive any service for 10 minutes despite the store being pretty empty. In the end we went up to ask for menus. Afterwards it took around 45-50 minutes to recieve our bubble tea and bubble waffle after we were told it would take 20 minutes to make the pearls. Their cake and tarts tasted good.

Tasty dessert shop that reminds me of Meet Fresh, but a bit more expensive I think. I ordered a warm grass jelly bowl with various toppings. My friends and I were able to sit there for two hours to chat, and there were many seats. Overall a good place to hangout.

Had afternoon tea today, this place has cozy atmosphere, absolutely delicious food set and tea, welcoming and friendly personnel. I would definitely be back again to try some other items from the menu! Thank you for organizing everything so nicely!

With influences from Taichung, t-fresh brings some Taiwanese classics and traditional desserts. The pineapple rose infused oolong tea is definitely worth a try. With new desserts on the horizon I think it’s worth a try. The establishment is spacious and ready for new customers.

A relatively new Taiwanese dessert spot in Richmond, on Alexandra Street. They have your classic shaved ice desserts and hot grass jelly, tofu, etc. options. Here, we got the Jumbo Crunchy Ice with Brown Sugar, topped with mashed taro, taro balls, red bean, pearl barley, and peanuts. What makes this place stand out is their careful preparation. The ingredients they use have just the right level of sweetness, so if you are not a fan of the overly sweet desert dishes out there, give this one a try!

Really nice aesthetics with cool lights, a dark/black interior and brushed metal accents. Very spacious seating area as well. It’s located in a plaza, so there’s plenty of free parking. Really intricate dish presentations, and I didn’t have a strong favourite as everything tasted good too. My order: Perfect Match (Soya Milk Ice Cream & Chinese Donut) ($4.50): I loved how unique this was, it’s a modern spin on a classic nostalgic item for me. Soy milk ice cream was creamy, and the mini piece of Chinese donut added a nice chewy texture to this dessert. Great price in my opinion, as it comes in a set of 3. Bricked Ice Latte ($6.50): this was a cool drink because the coffee “ice cubes” are melted by warm milk, but the drink is still cold overall once the cubes are completely melted. Comes with sugar syrup on the side, but I didn’t need it. Creamy and decently strong cup of iced coffee. A tad bit pricy for a cup of coffee, but it was a fun experience nonetheless. Taro Ice Cream ($4.50): one scoop of super creamy ice-cream that tastes like real taro (not that powdered bubble tea flavour). Loved the crunchy flakes (like cereal) paired with the ice cream. Comes with some chewy mochi/taro balls too. Shrimp Salad Sliders ($12): loved the slightly tangy n’ creamy sauce, and it has a good portion of shrimp too. Buns were nice and buttered as well. Comes with 3 sliders. Brine Platter ($13.80): well marinated items that was on the sweet side (which is the classic Taiwanese-style flavour/taste). Beef slices were very tender, and I loved the egg as well.

Signature Warm Grass Jelly is $11+tax. The toppings on the grass jelly are mashed taro, taro balls, pearls, and red bean. It was definitely tasty and a good level of sweetness but it was not worth it. It is overpriced for the portion size and quantity of toppings was minimal. Not sure if it was because it was for take out. The interior was nice and counter staff were friendly though.

Quiet cafe to get some work done. We were the only ones in the whole cafe for two hours on a Monday afternoon. Super spacious with outlets available - great place to do work. Service was very friendly! The menu looked amazing but we were too full to try the taro and sweet potato selections (what they're known for). The drinks (Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly + Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly) were average and exactly what I expected. I would order them again, but not a craving - definitely coming back to do work and try the other menu items.
