★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place just opened up in the neighbourhood and I had to check it out. Unfortunately I wasn’t blown away. The portion was pretty small for what I’m used to in a donair place. Also I paid 15 bucks for the chicken platter which is crazy because the Greek place next door charges the same amount and you get way more.
The food tasted okay. It wasn’t awful but it’s definitely not the best donair I’ve had.
Customer service was mediocre at best.
Will definitely be going back to the Greek and Vietnamese places beside it.

Way to go Donair Grill! We will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time trying it. We tried the chicken and beef. Not sure why they don’t cut the beef into smaller pieces like the chicken. They were ridiculously big chunks but tasty. The sauces were pretty good, we had the garlic and sweet sauces. The guy that helped me had zero customer service, did not even say hi :( However the lady at the register was super nice and friendly. I have definitely had better shawarmas in calgary, that’s why the 4 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the OG, legit, authentic, bona fide, whatever you want to call it shawarma and donair restaurant! Customer service is topnotch! And best part is the meat! Sooooo juicy you can taste the flavours of the meat even though there's sauce on your sandwich That's how flavourful it is!
This is my new to go and forever shawarma place! You guys earned another regular here!!?
