Elevators are always breaking down and the fire alarm is always going off. Building prices are far too expensive for what we have to put up with.

This is one of the most thoughtfully designed home rental buildings I’ve seen. Really great amenities and nice interior finishes, I recommend checking it out

While we haven't moved in yet, the building is amazing and the people are quite friendly. We love that it is close to the c-train and the multiple parks. We are really looking forward to moving in to our new home!

Have friends living here and they do not like it. The renting Company is not customer oriented, in fact as they are unapproachable. They take days to respond to anything and the brokers change day in day out. This is a rental building so the refinements one would do to finish a place are not there: i.e wall shelf that is visible in the room is made wires so you can't put your watches, etc, it will all fall through. It looks so cheap! Bathroom lacks towel hooks where it makes sense to have them. Bathroom and stovetop vent are the same vent. Many things that they say are annoying. Esthetically the building is presented well but functionally seems corners were cut. My biggest annoyance are the front steps. Whoever designed those does not live in our winters. They alternately cutoff with sharp cement edges. One fine winter day someone will seriously injure themselves either because they took a step to come down where there is none or they were going up and caught a partial step.

I have been living at Dominion YYC for almost a year now. Things started off pretty well, until my car got broken into in the gated underground parking that I pay a lot of extra money for. I concur with Tyler’s reviewβ€” the elevators are sometimes broken for days at a time, although it’s usually just one of the two. Dominion addressed this in an email to residents talking about how there is a cupcake-store moving-in downstairs and wrote: β€œOn a happier note, we think we may be giving you a good reason to take the stairs occasionally, on purpose.” This makes me worry for the building’s senior or mobile-challenged residents who cannot take 10 or so flights of stairs if this happens.) What if there is a medical emergency and paramedics can’t access a working elevator? Unreliable elevators should not be a good reason to take the stairs. I think the Dominion complex has amazing potentialβ€” great location, and concierge who really try to help residents. But, for what I pay, I have ended up β€œlosing” on a few levels. I really wish this review was more positive. I LOVED the look of this place when I signed my lease. :-( Response to Dominion’s reply: BOTH elevators are down this morning, March 22nd. Elevator #1 went down last night.

I have been living at Dominion for a few months and love it. The staff are incredible, the amenities are top notch and the layout of our apartment is perfect. I appreciate the clear and timely communications that we receive from management and their prompt responses when we need something. The Bridgeland-Riverside community is wonderful and I appreciate that Dominion is embracing the community in which they are operating whether it be providing residents with discount codes to local businesses or participating in charitable giving. I feel that Dominion really is creating a community and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

Having lived in Dominion for a little over 3 months, we have been pleased with our experience thus far. The design of the floorplans are well thought out and make great use of the space. Angel, the concierge, is a delight and represents the building well. The second tower is still under construction and while there have been some hiccups related to that, management has responded the exact same way I would have if I ran the building so I cannot fault them. Car wash is awesome (even though it feels like I'm the only one that uses it 3 times a week), kitchen/lounge/gym are beautiful and well stocked. The building is VERY pet friendly which is great for our furry child. Many buildings will claim they are pet friendly but the only place you can have your pet is in your suite or outside, whereas Dominion embraces your family and encourages you to bring your dog throughout the building. Most important of all management continues to solicit feedback and suggestions from residents and actually acts on it. If they continue on their current path we will be more than happy to stay past our lease.

Having lived here for 6 months, I would not recommend it. The elevators are constantly breaking, there's been several security incidents, the management sends out messages speaking to residents like children and the units are small and difficult to heat. Not worth the money whatsoever. When the response to this review says "last night" they really mean that it's been completely down 5 times in 2 months, so I guess they also gaslight their residents. Maybe that's what they mean by "luxury". The concierge staff may be the only saving grace, they're absolutely wonderful.
