M	Mike Kario on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was hard to find parking because all the curbside parking nearby were taken up or the parking spots at the back were also taken or reserved for other businesses. fyi this dollar tree has the mandatory mask rule during the pandemic which i fully support. The store looks a little bit rundown but the items on the aisles appear well organized. It's actually not bad if you lower your expectations compared to their rival store, dollarama. The selection is definetly not as good as dollarama. Then again, the Dollarama near granville st. is huge compared to this one so they can carry more types of items. The prices are really cheap~ everything is truly $1.25 or less. So if you're looking for cheap items that are truly about a buck, this is the place to be. As my friend and I walked in, the staff were putting up Halloween toys and decorations. Better early to cash in on the holiday craze. This was early september. We didn't buy anything because there was only ONE cashier and at least 5 customers were lining up. Why they didn't add another cashier to lower the wait times beats me. They had a huge stack of boxes full of items covering the middle aisles of the store so we had to carefully sideway walk through it. Still, i i'd go back to Dollarama and pay the slightly higher prices and see more variety of items than go to a small store dollar tree.

If you feel like Dollarama has just gotten too commercial, try Dollar Tree on Fraser St. It's big enough to cover all your basics, but it still has some rough edges that make it at home in its East Van location. I've never seen Cotton Candy Faygo on sale anywhere else in Vancouver, let alone at a discount price. How about romance novels written exclusively for an African American market? Dollar Tree has them! And at a deep discount.
