About Diversity Dance And Performing Arts

Since I was 5 and took my first dance class, all I’ve wanted to be was a dance teacher.

When I opened Diversity Dance in 2008, I had 36 students, was the only teacher, and ran classes out of a local community centre. I had 3 other jobs that year to help fund the studio. In 2009, I opened in a 2200 square foot location with two dance studios and hired 2 other teachers. We had approximately 200 students that year and I was overjoyed! In 2011 I took a big risk and expanded my studio space to 5500 square feet and was able to grow our dance family even further. We then added our 4th studio space the “metallic studio” in 2016, providing our new and current students with more opportunities and exciting class additions.

Two years ago I did something I said I would never do, and opened a second location! Although I was so nervous, I am so happy I took the risk and was able to open the doors of our state-of-the-art 4500 square foot north location in Beacon Heights. I am ecstatic to build another dance family and provide even more children the opportunities that we at Diversity Dance can provide.

The rapid growth of Diversity Dance is a testament to our success in creating a passion for dance in these young people. It’s my goal to give every student the opportunity to experience a love of dance and learning.

I believe that Diversity is not just a dance studio, it is a place where many kids grow up. I have an open-door policy with all of my students and a studio is a place many of them come to do homework, hang out with dance friends, or a safe place if they are in need of one. Our lobby is always full of kids! My staff and I are not just teachers – we are role models, mentors, and sometimes shoulders to cry on. We are always our student’s biggest cheerleaders and advocates.

I know that my studio has made an impact on many. I hope this influence stays with them throughout adulthood and helps to shape their futures. I truly do what I do because of the lives we touch and the students I get to see grow up. I feel a great responsibility to be a positive role model for each of them. I provide a safe and positive environment for all my students where they are loved and appreciated for who they are. I believe this impacts them for the rest of their lives regardless of whether they follow a career in dance or follow another path.

It has been a busy 14 years, and I’ve loved every minute! I look forward to what the future holds for Diversity Dance and our past, present, and future students.

This is a studio that really cares about each dancer and their dance education. I have one daughter who loves to dance as an activity and takes one tap class and loves it and another daughter who wants to focus on it more intensely and takes 4 classes and is starting to get involved on the competitive team. Diversity is a great choice for both of them. The teachers are passionate about dance and great at their jobs. The studio is very well managed and organized. Communication with parents is excellent.

Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Studio was already a studio that we loved for our 16 year old daughter to dance at precovid for many reasons but during the pandemic they have gone above and beyond to make sure students were safe and ensured that we were financially looked after as a family while our daughter continued to attend either virtually or in person. Miss Christina Bez, the owner, and her team made sure to communicate with families and kept as in touch with new rules, regulations, changes to programming and competition updates every step of the way in a very timely manner while keeping us as customers and her students at the top of the priority list with every decision they made. I would say Miss Bez made us a priority over the financial security of the dance studio and to that we are forever grateful and hope that her studio thrives after the pandemic is over. Other studios we heard continued to charge astronomical prices for zoom classes and Miss Bez never ever once charged us inappropriately and gave us options along the way. Miss Bez has the dancers and their families at the heart of every decision she makes which is why we would recommend Diversity to anyone looking for a dance studio for their child. My daughter loves to dance at Diversity because of the amazing teachers she has who go all out to make each dancer feel special and cared for. My daughter has grown to love dance and think part of this is the way she is treated at the studio which has been a safe place for her as a teenager and dancer to grow and develop.

Diversity Dance is so much more than just a dance studio. It is a home away from home filled with happiness, laughter, and joy. Each and every staff member is so hard working, passionate and loving, and have shaped me into becoming the person I am today. They not only made my passion for dance flourish, but have taught me so many life lessons that I will forever hold close to my heart. The owner Mrs. Christina Bez, has done above and beyond for her students and staff, while providing a safe and clean environment during COVID-19. Her dedication and thoughtfulness to every single dancer is admirable and inspiring. I cannot thank Diversity enough for giving me the opportunity to create so many unforgettable memories and friendships that will last a life time.

I went to Diversity Dance for the past 10 years. The studio has helped me grow in more ways than just my dance skills. I have learned how to work effectively in a team setting, show my love and passion for dance and how to pursue my goals. I will always cherish my memories from the studio. The staff at Diversity is very kind and welcoming; and the students demonstrate these qualities as well. With COVID-19 they have made the proper adjustments to maintain safety while dancing. They have created an online program and now an outdoor program to continue to share their passion of dance. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience with Diversity and I would recommend Diversity to anyone looking for a dance studio.

I am so lucky to call Diversity my second home. I have been dancing at Diversity for 4 years now and I have made so many amazing connections with the staff and my peers. Especially throughout Covid Ms.Christina has been amazing, she always puts her students and teachers first and has been super adjustable by creating outdoor schedules and zoom schedules when needed. Would 100% recommend this studio to anyone looking!!

During and before covid, Miss Christina and everyone at diversity has always put their students first. No matter what the situation is whether that’s zoom dance, outdoor dance or in person dance, everyone at diversity always has a smile on their face. I can truly call this place home, and I know that even when I graduate I will always be welcomed at diversity. If you are looking for a dance studio I could not recommend diversity enough and I thank all of the diversity staff for making such an amazing environment for me to grow up in.

I wanted to write a quick review to commend Miss Christina Bez (the owner/director) on how she has handled the 2020-2021 season with Covid. With each wave of restrictions, she has put her clients and staff first. She has been extremely fair by automatically pausing tuition each time in-person classes are unable to run and provides optional online or outdoor programs. She cares deeply about her staff's wellbeing and ensures a safe environment for us to teach in. Thank you for everything you do, looking forward to another season with Diveristy Dance ???

My daughter loves going to Diversity! She has grown so much as a dancer thanks to her talented teachers, she has made many new friendships and has so many positive role models at the studio. The staff at the studio provide excellent communication to parents and always respond to any questions promptly. Highly recommend!
