★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best selection of vinyl in Victoria. Also find nice box sets, a small selection of sound systems and posters. They have cassettes (why?) and a small selection of cds too. You’re highly likely to find that special album you’re looking for at Ditch.

By far the best selection and prices in Victoria, although after buying six records and having four of them audibly skip and visably warped right out of the packaging I have been left pretty disappointed. The plastic wrap they put on is often very tight which must lead to the issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is definitely the best record store in Victoria which is unfortunate. Mostly new very expensive vinyl. They have some used stuff which is just mixed in with the new, which I hate. You have to flip through stacks and stacks of new stuff to find the used. Then the used stuff you find is just as expensive as the new stuff. I think because it is the best store in vic, they have the locals convinced their prices are normal, which they are not.
That being said, they have a ton of stock in here and the people are super friendly.

Staff has been very helpful whenever there's something not in, they're always able to let me know if they're expecting it if it's a new release or not. A must for record collectors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been going to Ditch for a year and a half or so and all I can say is WOW. Great prices for new/re-issued vinyl in the “vinyl resurrection” that is happening nowadays. Very friendly staff that are always there for a good conversation or a recommendation. I would tell anyone starting out in the hobby to come downtown and check out Ditch Records.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That's the place to go for vinyl purchases in Victoria. I have tried a lot of record stores in Vancouver as well, but I have to say that it is hard to match the huge selection and (very fair) prices of Ditch. Couldn't recommend it more! I can mainly speak for the metal & jazz options there, and they're just amazing.
