Keep me on classical for 10 minutes, went quite for a minute until I pressed 0 hoping someone will talk and started a new classical. What an insult. Corporate not controlled but individuals suffer instead. Sad enough I could not post it and if in my power i would put negative star but only passport to pass with this is put a star

It wouldn't let me post this without stars so it has to get one... :( Direct Energy is THE WORST company to deal with. I work for a very large Property Management Company. We manage over 5000 properties. Unfortunately, owners were given the option to do gas through Enmax or DE. I am working as hard as I can to get rid of Direct Energy all together. My last phone call with them, I was told I did not have authority on the account (even though its my name on EVERY email and form faxed to them for at least the last year.) I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that he wouldn't help me either. I asked again to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me. I called back and got the same person. I asked to speak to her supervisor again. she asked me for a specific account number to reference. I said we have over 4000 accounts with them and it wasn't in reference to one specific one, just that I wanted to speak with a supervisor. She said she would see if she could find one and left me on hold for 20mins. Useless people, completely useless.

Try paying your bill on phone or online. Virtually impossible. Worst most buggy corporate website I've used since 1997. unfortunately this company is the default provider in Calgary for new service. Avoid them at all costs.

Most unorganized company ive ever had to deal with. complete garbage. useless. employees that coudnt care less about there jobs. supervisors ( Brian for example ) that are cringe worthy . switched to Enmax and all the problems i was having went away. funny how that happens.

Very bad service. The representatives don't know how their system works. They put wrong notes on my account and messed up the bills. When I called, they refused to give refund and I had to fixe all problems with my tenants.

It would save you some stress, time, and money to find other providers. The supervisors will not actually help solve your problem, dont care if your without heat for a week because one of their co workers didnt fully fill out the service form, and will tell you straight "theres no one higher then me, my boss doesnt take calls." Just the truth hurts sometimes...

Very disappointed with the way I get treated here, have set up automatic payments with them, that was lost or reset somehow, tried doing it online 4 times and their system will not accept it. Set up email billing with them 4 times as well and the only email they manage to get to me is a disconnection notice every few months. I am usually more on top of getting things like this sorted out, but when you are told by their customer service rep that " customers like you are why we have disconnection notices" your willingness to solve problem goes way down to "I'll get to it when I feel like it." So, no billing received paper or email and multiple attempts to solve the issue on my end, I dont feel as though they care about any customer.

Thanks to this pandemic, is more noticeable which companies actually cares for their customers. Well, this is not one who cares. When you receive an email or letter that says "Dear valued customer" followed by "we haven't received a payment in full". Because they have this amazing deal of not bugging you for three months. But the outstanding has to be paid. That is all the help can give to the "valued customers". If you cannot pay month by month. What makes them believe can pay three months in full? Specially with their absurd charges. Unfortunately people depend on this services and they simply take advantage of the circumstances. Amazing company! Isn't?
