Dila Pertiwi Photography - Canmore Wedding and Banff Elopement Photographer

My fiance and I are from Toronto. We booked Dila for a couples photoshoot at Moraine Lake. Little did I know that my fiance was going to propose to me during this shoot. Working with Dila was an absolute dream. Neither myself nor my fiance have ever done a couples photoshoot before, but she made us feel so comfortable during the shoot. And looking at our pictures now, she also made us look and feel like we were pros. Doing a sunrise photoshoot at Moraine Lake required us to arrive there very early. Dila was punctual and full of energy - the kind of energy you need at 4am :). She was very patient and thorough during the planning of this shoot, answering all of our questions. Most importantly, Dila treated us with so much compassion. When it started to snow, she provided us with extra jackets and blankets that she brought with her (making the shoot so much more bearable because I was wearing a dress). Not only did Dila capture one of the biggest milestones of my life so beautifully, but she delivered all of the finished photographs in a very timely manner. My fiance and I were both awestruck when we saw the pictures. I will be eternally grateful that we got the opportunity to work with Dila, and I will forever treasure the photographs of our special moment that she captured so beautifully. I really hope that we can work with her again in the future, and I would highly recommend her for any photography service.

There are all these other photographers who will produce you nice but obviously edited photos, then there's Dila who would capture your photos and make them just right to let the natural beauty pop out even more. We actually saw Dila by chance at the trailhead of Parker Ridge prior to our session, but we formally met one another on the day of the engagement shoot itself.  I'd say she would be the type of person that you'd clicked with right away.  Her lovely smile, friendly demeanor, and bright personality would make you think twice whether you have known her before.  Even my fiance who tends to be quite shy when meeting people for the first time got along with Dila pretty quickly, and trust me, that says a lot! I would have loved to mention one specific moment that stood out throughout our experience with Dila, but I cannot think of any since the whole engagement session was memorable.  I must say, she got me emotional and had me teary-eyed at some point.  Don't ask me when that was, because that would be up to you to find out when you get her as your photographer. ;)  What I appreciate about her too was that she remembered my ideas from our initial conversation, and she was not hesitant to incorporate them in her work.  While we didn't get the best weather that we were hoping for on that day in September, we had a creative and talented photographer anyway... and I think that's what matters most. If you are looking for a photographer who will give you incredible pictures AND an amazing photoshoot experience, then congratulations... You found Dila.

BEST PHOTOGRAPHER!! Oh boy where do we even begin? After many rescheduled dates from our original wedding day, in the spur of the moment we decided to have our wedding in the mountains. We basically planned the wedding in about a week and it was crazy, but Dila was so reassuring and very helpful with us in making our decision. Dila was incredibly honest and literally had an answer to every question we had on how to have an intimate mountain wedding. What we LOVE most about working with Dila is not just how she captures BEAUTIFUL photos with the scenery, but also how she connected with us as a couple and everything just blended well with each other. Dila was really able to capture wonderful moments and able to tie in our emotions with the photos. Every minute of our experience was so easy and enjoyable. Dila was very accommodating and attentive, we didnt have to worry about anything. Dila is also great at scheduling and she sticks to it with little to no deviation (she's basically an event planner!). Not only was she great at accommodating us, but also with our friends and family. Everybody adored Dila as much as we did, it's as if we've known each other for a long time. Lastly, Dila is very delightful, passionate and informative. If anyone is looking for a mountain photographer or even any photographer in general, she is definitely worth checking out. On our Wedding day, WE DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. She guided us through everything. We recommend Dila ? again and again. Do it, it’s a mistake if you don’t hire her because her work is AMAZING and you don't know what you'll be missing out on. She is the BEST!

This review comes late, but Dila was an absolute treat to work with! We setup a surprise proposal for when I planned to pop the question to my girlfriend at Moraine Lake. Dila went above and beyond in every possible way, and she thought of everything - far more than even I did! The moment was planned in advance perfectly, and was executed almost as perfectly (my awkward fault). After capturing the moment, she proceeded to prepare us emotionally and physically, and then captured some truly amazing shots of us! I was amazed by the fantastic photos that were the result - both in terms of editing as well as the shots themselves. I highly recommend Dila for your photography needs, and I cant wait to go out here again to visit, as I would love to get more beautiful photos taken in the beauty of the mountains!

Dila is a shining example of PROFESSIONALISM and CREATIVITY. She is super fun to work with and helps you relax in front of the camera. We immediately felt comfortable with her, and we just fell in love with her unique photography style. She did an amazing job of getting to know us as a couple, and then using her knowledge to add such a fantastically creative touch on our Elopement Photos! I booked Dila for 8 hours for our wedding in Canmore. I took a bit of as risk as I knew she was more of an Elopement photographer than a wedding photographer, but I was very pleased with her work. She captured the day beautifully and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are absolutely in love with all our gorgeous wedding pictures. Dila is a very talented photographer local to the Bow Valley. She completely exceeded our expectations and made every aspect of this experience unforgettable. My fiancée and I wanted to celebrate our engagement with something special and Dila was recommended to us by a local friend. The start of this sunset hike I kid you not it was 46 degrees outside. Thank goodness we were all well prepared but props to Dila for roughing it in the heat with us. Her talent is undeniable but her personality and ideas made for a beautiful unique experience. She had our parents write us letters to read at the top and this personal touch really made an impact on both of us. We couldn’t be happier with every part of this experience and would highly recommended this talented woman to anyone looking for engagement, wedding/ elopement photos.

Dila..there aren’t enough kind words in the dictionary to describe her!! With the ongoing pandemic, my husband and I decided on an adventure elopement. She really gets to know the couple as a whole and individually. We told her roughly how we envisioned the day and she was able to deliver! She made the whole process easy and stress-free. She went above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. She is not just photographer..she is your wedding planner, MOH, best friend, visionary all rolled into one. 10/10 would recommend her to everyone and anyone. She is absolutely, without a doubt amazing and is really passionate about her work..and it definitely reflects in the quality of her photos.
