The Ken Hoehn Gallery

We were greeted by a nice young man as we entered, who told us a lot about the artist. Ken happened to be there, and we chatted for quite a while. We found out he was originally from Dorintosh, SK, it is a small world! He also signed the book that we bought. We felt very welcomed. The photographs are stunning! We also appreciated the sign that said All Staff are Vaccinated. Excellent experience!

Wandering around Canmore and went into Ken Hoehn's Gallery. A must see if you are there. His photography is absolutely amazing. Even if you don't buy anything it is worth just looking. Of course we ended up buying a beautiful picture and to make everything perfect their customer service is above reproach.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a browse into this amazing gallery. We made 3 stops in the store when we finally decided to take 2 lovely pictures home with us. We got to meet the artist who was very friendly and also very proud of his work. All of his pictures had a great story behind them and it was amazing to hear all of them. His son who also worked in the gallery was also very friendly and knew the stories as well. Overall the experience was amazing and I would recommend this gallery to anyone. I look forward to purchasing more of Ken's work in the future!

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Ken today when visiting the gallery. He has such a welcoming environment in his gallery, no pressure to buy anything at all. As we walked around the gallery and looked at the amazing photos, Ken told us a story about what we were looking at! Each of the pictures have a name and a story, the time and effort that goes into capturing just the right moment gives Ken the time to imagine what the moment truly means. We went in just because the photos in the window caught our eye, but after spending an hour with Ken we became collectors! We brought an amazing piece call "Castles" home with us. This is a limited edition that comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ken himself. I highly recommend if you're in Canmore, make time time to check out The Ken Hoehn Gallery. We can't wait till we get to come again.

My wife and I were browsing Canmore's galleries and without a doubt, Ken's work is head and shoulders above the rest. I am by no means an art aficionado, however you just know when you like something. There wasn't much that we wouldn't hang on our walls. We did not purchase anything, however we have measure our walls and will be reviewing his website once again. Thanks for the wonderful tour and great stories about the images.

Only one word can describe this gallery and its proprietor, joyful! He took the time and consideration to walk us through many of his photographs, each one with it’s own enchanting back story. Ken puts his whole self into each of his photographs and it shows, they are truly immersive, and speak to your soul. Ken has travelled the world and brought back once in a lifetime moments to grace your walls and remind you of this world’s beauty and complexity. We had a lovely visit and found that we had similar roots and even know some of each other’s family! Please take the time to view his art and appreciate the collection for the glimpses of wonder they provide. One day I will own an original . A wonderful and generous person and a stunning gallery, this is well worth your time and a investment in art you won’t regret. Ken selflessly gave us a lovely parting gift to give to our children that will grace our coffee table for years to come, he personalized it and I know it will be handed down through our family. We entered the Ken Hoehn Gallery out of curiosity after hearing rave reviews from our friend who had visited a few weeks prior. We really didn’t intend to purchase anything initially, but that soon changed as we began looking at one incredible image after another. I felt like a kid in a candy store and was quite honestly, overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and magnitude of the images. I found myself asking the questions, “how did he manage to get that shot at that crazy angle and what impeccable timing was needed to capture that image?” We wandered around the gallery for close to an hour and spent a considerable amount of time with Ken where we learned about the many stories behind his photos. It was then that we began to appreciate the patience, dedication, passion and wildlife knowledge required of the man behind the lens. This helped us understand how he was able to capture some of those stunning moments. We finally settled on a print titled “Circle of Life, Baby” which is not only a striking image, but it has a meaningful story behind it that truly completes Ken’s vision of this photo. Our overall experience in the gallery with Ken and his son Jesse was very positive. Relaxing, no pressure to buy, professional, patience in answering all of my questions, great communication (verbally and electronically) and an overall excellent level of customer service. I would highly recommend the Ken Hoehn Gallery to anyone interested in acquiring exceptional images of wildlife and nature.
