Paul is always professional, courteous, and patient. He is generous with his knowledge about building science and best practices. It is a relief knowing that Paul wants to do the job right and that he will not cut corners or offer quick fixes. Whether it was to rebuild the front porch of our 110-year-old house, design and build the perfect pantry for our kitchen, or more recently last summer build a new deck for our backyard, just to name a few projects, we were always completely satisfied. For this last project (the deck), we started the process with some ideas that we brought to Paul who would have nice ideas to improve the design and suggestions for the best material and techniques to use. The craftmanship of Paul and Adam is impeccable. Paul is also very knowledgeable about building science, it is very pleasant to discuss with him.

We chose Paul for his experience and enthusiasm, which we didn't find elsewhere. In the end, windows we thought might not be salvageable, were perfectly fine once restored. They function like new. And Paul sourced fantastic storms which do not require a ladder to change. And the cost of the work equaled quotes we had for new replacement wooden windows. We were so happy with the work, we had Paul and his team continue on the re-painting of the house exterior, which was to be done by another contractor. But our confidence in Paul's experience and knowledge in restoring heritage homes made this an easy decision. And we were very happy with the end result. He improved the exterior look of the house tenfold. We would highly recommend Denys Builds Designs for any project - and we look forward to working with them again in the future!

I should also mention that Paul was one of the few people in the industry who really understands older homes, older spaces, and doing more with less. He brings a breadth and depth of knowledge in the remodeling space accompanied with incredible work ethic and sincere interest in design. It is so difficult to find good contractors, that when you find one, you never let them go. Paul is meticulous, precise, honest, and talented. I can't tell you how rare that constellation of qualities is in the business. He brings in the right talent, uses the right products, doesn't overbill, and has always delivered on time and with above and beyond collaboration and communication.
