I've gone to Dr. Dejong a few times and each time it's been a great experience. I actually live/work in Toronto and travel all the way to Burlington to be seen by her. Reception is accommodating each time I've needed to reschedule, super welcoming and friendly during check-in, and Dr. Dejong is quick and efficient with everything. I'm someone with a lot of anxiety and nerves around this kind of stuff, so I appreciate her speed and professionalism. She's knowledgeable and brings in a lot of her experience and expertise to every appointment, so I always feel like I'm leaving better prepared than when I came in. I feel lucky to have found a great gynecologist in her practice!

She is the best obstetrician, she is very kind and friendly, and she also makes appointments easily and takes care of the patient's comfort.

This doctor has horrible office management. Having been referred to her, I thought 2 weeks was plenty of time for them to get back to me with scheduling an appointment. I called the office line (which you can't get a person on) and their voicemail basically said don't call us, we'll call you. I waited another week and called back. Again, voice mail. This time I left a message asking for them to call me back. Nothing. I give them some more time and call them again. Once again I can't get anyone on the phone and leave a message. I end up calling my doctor to figure out if she can re-send the referral or what is going on. We finally hear back from them that they won't accept me as a patient. I lost 6 weeks of time to the non-response from the office. I really don't appreciate it when doctors undervalue your time as much as this office did.

I had an appt with this doctor in July of 2021. At this time because of Covid they were prescreening their referrals by phone. My doctor’s office requested a referral and within 2-3 weeks I was booked to go in and see her without a prescreening. Dr. DeJong made it very clear that I was lucky to have gotten in without being prescreened. By this time, I had been dealing with 7 months of indescribable pain, itching, inflammation, tears, bleeding, lumps and dyspareunia. I had tried multiple topicals and gone for several swabs with no success. I sat in her office and answered all of her hurried questions with tears in my eyes and then she decided to take a look. (My doctor’s office told me that I would probably need a biopsy done by a gynaecologist to get a definitive answer on what was going on with me.) She looked at me for less than 2 minutes without even turning her light on and declared that I simply had a yeast infection and that I should treat it with Canesten, maybe an oral capsule of Fluconazole and good probiotic. Basically, she blew me off. She wanted me in and out as soon as possible after all, I wasn’t dying or pregnant and she had another patient waiting. I was in despair as these were all things I had already tried and even tested negative for before I came to see her. She may be a good obstetrician but she’s severely lacking as a gynaecologist.

I would like to thank Dr. Christine Dejong, she is truly amazing. She accepted me when I was 7 months pregnant with twins and she helped me a lot. Her experience and intelligence was a blessing for me. She was there in the labour room for me even on her day off and supported me for a normal delivery for both kids. She is very kind and generous person.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dealing with Dr. DeJong is like stepping inside a time warp. She constantly rushes her patients, she is inconsiderate and has terrible bedside manner, and honestly having an IUD insertion from her was more painful than any period I've ever had. Just an awful experience in general. I strongly recommend avoiding her clinic at all costs. Did I mention her clinic is in a house?!

Dr. De Jong came highly recommended, and for two pregnancies I’ve wondered why. I had my daughters back-to-back, and the level of care I received for both were nowhere near the care I received for my first child, elsewhere. I found Dr. De Jong to be dismissive, rough, and rushed. My pregnancy in 2020, I even had to do my own strep swab in the office. My pregnancy in 2021, I did not have one internal exam. Not one single check of my cervix, not even at the end, before she booked my induction, or when I complained about serious pain in my pelvic bones around 34 weeks. When I went for my six-to-eight week checkup, she did not do one single thing that is on the list for that appointment. Shocker, not even a vaginal exam here either! This is still after complaining about that same pain that hadn’t gone away, and she was even half out the door when I was attempting to discuss a very private matter, to the point where I had to ask her to close the door. I should also mention that my pregnancies were considered somewhat high-risk. Even more alarming that nothing was done for my pregnancy in 2021. Why did I go back the second time, you ask? I gave her the benefit of the doubt, as things were all awry with the pandemic. The second time, when things were much calmer, proved that to be completely wrong.
