Deerfoot Meadows Orthodontics - Calgary

Very un educated staff. Surprisingly busy place. Terrible experience the one year my daughter attended. Original orthodontist Kemp is retired now. Office has really gone down hill.

Decent place in terms of skill, results, service, cleanliness ect. Had my second set of braces though this place to fix jaw issues. Downside is the hygenist was a bit rough, and they ignored my complaints of loose teeth and bone loss possibly caused by bad alignment/braces (a possible common side effect of braces) and bad flossing/ deep gum pockets as diagnosed by another reputable city dentist. I felt they possibly had a vested interest in saying the teeth was not loose because it could reflect on their orthodontics. They will probably do the job competently but im not sure if serious issues arose they would be good at managing it, if another dentist had a different opinion they would listen, or if they are very good at showing listening skills. Otherwise the dentists and staff are nice people, and I would go again Update April 18 2022: I am lowering the stars of the review. Dont get me wrong generally very clean, good results and polite. I would reccomend them. However another instance of the dentist ignoring a potentially major issue because it may reflect on their orthodontic work has come up. I have a retainer that is worn through due to grinding in the pandemic. I am worried about grinding through to my teeth. I told the dentist this (the other one whose name I wont mention who replaced Kemp after he retired). He appeared to not understand my question and instead answered a question/problem I did not have. He said the retainer wouldnt break yet which is true. But I wasnt concerned about that I was concerned about tooth wear. There was no followup or adknowledgement of this as far as I could tell. Maybe the dentist is a bad communicator but good dentist. Maybe they were busy. I felt like I had to send a email to follow up ect and be proactive in my own health because they might not listen to me or protect my health.

Straightened my teeth w braces years ago, when dr kemp was still around. Recently came in for a new retainer since i had a filling done and the old one didnt fit. Retainer shifted my jaw and now i need orthodontics again, do no recommend

I had Invisalign with Deerfoot Meadows Orthodontics for 2 years. Throughout the duration of having Invisalign, (initial teeth scans, setting up the billing process, follow up appt's, etc.), the service has been second to none. Orthodontics are not an easy pill to swallow financially, but the group was able to illustrate and explain how my work benefits could be used, created a billing plan, and offered competitive pricing. Even after my Invisalign was completely removed and my billing/contract paid off, the staff were still very receptive to any questions or inquiries I had. 10/10 would recommend.

I had Invisalign done by Dr. Long Tieu. I was VERY impressed with my results, and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The professionalism, attention to detail, and level of care from Dr. Tieu and his staff was truly exceptional. It was an absolute pleasure having my treatment done at Deerfoot Meadows Orthodontics and now I smile with confidence everywhere I go!! I highly recommend Dr. Tieu and his team!

10/10 would recommend! Dr.Tieu and staff are so awesome! I always enjoy my visits, and I will absolutely be bringing my son here once he is ready for treatment. Dr.Tieu is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about his patients. Deerfoot Meadows Orthodontics will always be my recommendation for any ortho treatment.

I decided to look into orthodontic treatment as an adult, and came here on recommendations of other friends. I felt Dr. Tieu went above and beyond correcting issues that I did not even realize were a cause for concern. Not only did he fix the spacing concerns I had, but was able to correct some bite issues that could have led to unnecessary wear down the road. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this office, child or adult.

I visited Dr. Tieu’s office in preparation for my wedding, and wanted to correct some movement that happened to my front teeth. Word to the wise, make sure you wear your retainers to avoid needing more treatment as an adult! He addressed my concerns and gave me a couple different treatment options. I went with Invisalign, and even with the confusion of the pandemic, was able to finish treatment before my reschedule wedding. He’s a great doctor and the staff have been beyond accommodating.
