Darcy started out in Blackie in 1990 – out of a garage and built from the ground up. You may remember Darcy from Harvey Brown Holdings in High River and River City Tire in the late 1970s, and Gulf Service in the early 1980s, or as a Licensed auto mechanic at Ranchland Ford.
In April of 2005, DEE-ALTA Tires expanded and opened a new shop at ABILDS Truck Wash, just north of Cargill on HWY 2A and moved to their current location on the other side of the street in 2018.
My dad had a truck, one with split rims on it, and it always had flats. In 1974, when I was going to school I had to stop into the shop to get them fixed. I was greeted with “We’re busy, but you have watched us do it enough times, you know how to do it”. So I did.
That is where it all started. After that, I was offered a job, and have been doing this ever since. DEE ALTA started out in Blackie, where I have lived for over 65 years. We service everyone from Ag equipment to families and corporate contracts, if it has tires, DEE ALTA is your best stop.
