Danielle is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, she helped us make the right decision when entering new birds into our flock. We got our newbies flown all the way from Quebec to Kelowna, with not a problem occurring and the babes were in wonderful condition when they arrived... the birds are all super friendly and have amazing temperaments, they fit in well and are thriving. We will be ordering from this family again and again. Thank you so much DC Heritage Farm, it is quite evident that you take amazing care of your birds and spend a lot of time caring for them! Thank you for providing ongoing excellent customer service and communication! I would recommend using this lovely business to anyone seeking new additions to their flock! 10/10

Frist, I order some baby chicks, Danielle answered all my questions on breeds and was very helpful to hatch them to fit my schedule. They were delivered by Canada post, all healthy and perfect. They are still here healthy and productive, never ever had a problem. Second and third time I order fertile eggs. I always want something specific and fast, and Danielle is always there to help me and ship everything ASAP… They have so much breeds it’s hard to choose from! Thank you to be there.

R	Ryan Wittenburg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 2 years since we purchased 16 chicks from this place, we have 4 left. They all died of either heart issues, mycoplasma or other disease. We lost 5 chicks outright. We have 8 other chickens purchased from another place at the same time and those same 8 chickens are very much alive. Genetics seems to be an issue with this place.

Another chicken had bloody diarrhea for weeks, but thankfully recovered. The vet also said they were dangerously underweight. Over the past two years we’ve lost two more to Marek’s disease (very strange for supposedly vaccinated chickens) and thus forever contaminated our flock. Order with great caution.

One hen had a gurgly breath and sneeze, and two others were squinting, which is usually a sign of respiratory infection. I’ve been treating them for a week with antibiotics, but lost one this morning. I’m sure this won’t be the last though. Before this purchase, I hadn’t had a problem with younger chicks from here. I am incredibly disappointed and upset. I will not be purchasing birds from here again. **If you don’t intend to heed this warning, at the very least make sure you’re doing a FULL health check on any birds you’re taking away from here. Don’t just trust they’re selling you healthy birds like I foolishly did.
