I had the Ruben and chose to go with corned beef over the smoked meat but I will definitely be returning to try out the smoked meat. This place is real. The area needed a deli and it does not disappoint. Good portion , fresh rye and the meat was fantastic. Really nice width of slice and balanced briny flavour. They also serve brunch which I will have to check out. Thanks very much Dave !

We ordered the fish and chips, chicken fingers, smoke meat on rye, and the beef brisket platter. Everything was on point. Flavour profiles were amazing; they hit all parts of the palette. We certainly didn't need more food in aggregate, but I would suggest that a second piece fish might make the entree that much better. Or make a second piece an option (sorry if that was an option that I missed). No nitpicking here. Everything was awesome. We will definitely return for seconds!!

The combo is move, the pickle is slice is good enough to talk about on its own, crunchy and sour and just too good. I’m not a coleslaw fan but they do something right! Maybe it’s the green onions in it or the fact it’s not a creamy coleslaw, I don’t know but I’m here for it. I won’t even try explaining the Ruben it’s self…. I couldn’t do it justice. It’s just that good you’ve gotta try it for yourself to understand what I mean.

Was in yesterday with my buddy and ordered the Roast Beef dip...Outstanding! We started with matzo ball soup, definitely homemade. My friend had the Smoked Meat and took one to-go! Oh and we finished off with the rice pudding and warm apple strudel. We were so full but ate every bite. Thanks Dave! Your place is great, food is fresh and delicious & you and your staff are genuine. Will absolutely be back!

I’m born and raised in Montreal and grew up on Schwartz’s deli - the absolute gold standard- and am always looking for something that comes close, which Toronto doesn’t seem to have. Heard good things about Dave’s so went in with fingers crossed. Kept it simple and just got a 10oz smoked meat sandwich. Pretty good although the meat was a bit lean/dry. A bit less fat trimmed off would bring out better flavour. Also, ask for your mustard on the side. They put far too much on the sandwich. The biggest problem with this place is the price. It is ridiculously expensive. I understand that food prices are going up but $25 for a sandwich at a deli is insane. Wouldn’t mind so much if I lived on the bridal path, but since I don’t… With better prices, I would definitely go back regularly but at $35+ per head for a meal (sandwich, fries, coleslaw, drinks) it’s much to expensive. Especially if I’m feeding the family and not just me. Which is too bad since there isn’t any other great deli close by.

The prices are a little higher than usual but these days that seems to be an issue everywhere. Again, the quality is very very high. We'll go again for a treat. But if you haven't gone you should treat yourself

Went for Brunch today, my friend had the eggs, bacon, sausage with salad and they loved it. Gave them a taste of my Smoked meat and they could not believe the flavour and quality. I ended up losing half my sandwich.
