Gavin works hard and goes the extra mile to make sure your trip is the best it can be. I only fish once or twice a year now so my techniques are not the best but I still catch fish when I go with this guide.

(and I have fished all over Mt, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, BC, Pennsylvania, NY, etc). Gavin is super knowledgeable about the river, fish, and bugs, a great oarsman, gives me just enough coaching to get great results. I will fish with him again and often - ASA covid permits!

Our guide had excellent knowledge of the river and got us into some beautiful browns on the streamer despite less than ideal (spring) river conditions. We were planning to fish with Dave Brown outfitters again this year - but we'll have to do so at a different time due to the border closing in 2020. Perhaps we'll be able to drive north later this season and experience the renowned foam fly season in the summer. The stonefly & hopper fishing experience sounds amazing and I can't think of an organization better suited to set us up for success than Dave Brown outfitters. I really can't recommend Dave & hid guides enough. The entire experience they provide is second to none. Hope to see you guys again sometime a bit later this year!

Dave, Dan, and Angie did the hard work each day and put us on the fish consistently all week. Dave is a pro guide ( & former paratrooper) who runs his business accordingly. From initial booking, all communication, daily pickup/drop off, lunches, etc.-- everything was professional and done well. DBO is the only outfitter we will call when headed to Calgary again.

Dave Brown Outfitters has become my "go-to" guide anytime someone asks for a guide now here in Alberta. They are highly organized, great at coaching, maintain immaculate equipment, genuinely fun to be on the water with, and, of course, if the fish are there we get them. Gavin is a master at navigating the water on the rivers in the Alberta area and has helped me develop some new casting techniques. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

And the Fish, these are the strongest fighting trout I've ever experienced. Rainbows and browns hammering his custom-tied, Cop Car Clausers on 7 weights was a blast. Gavin is also a chef, and the lunches were fantastic, even cooked us a beautiful steak, in the boat! Can't wait to go back!
