I do not recommend this dealership at all. We made a trip from Kelowna to buy a car for my wife. We spent all our savings to purchase this vehicle a Mazda 3 2010. They were very pushy to get the extra warranty when closing the deal but we didn't have all the money to get it. We drove the car to Kelowna without a any problems and we thought we have purchased a great car but the next day we heard a weird noise under the car but we though it was maybe something in the trunk, and exactly one month and a week after we purchased the car, it broke down leaving my wife stocked in the middle of hwy 97 with my 4 year old daughter. I had to leave work and come to pick them up, then tow the car to our mechanic's place just to find out that the TCM transmission control module which is basically like a computer for the transmission had to be replace and just the part itself cost $697 plus the tow truck fees and mechanic's fees. I called the Darryl's dealership to ask about this problem and they said that because we didn't purchase the extra warranty there was nothing they could do because it was over 30 days that I had to tow the car all the way down there from Kelowna then take it to one of their mechanics in order to get a big discount .Now we end up with a $7200 car that has to be fixed and we have to wait until we have the money to do it . We checked with the vehicle sales authority of British Columbia and it seems is not the first time this dealership had problems like thatv selling defective cars. My wife and I are warning anybody trying to buy from Darryls Best buy to think about it again.

If there would be a possibility, I would give 0 stars! Please stay away from this dealer! Until you have bought the car, everything is great but as soon as you leave their yard, they won't answer your calls. It took 4 days to fix a standard 100$ turn-switch-signal and we had to get the part by our self - bad service. The 90-day-dealer-warranty is worth nothing. I can explicitly warn you against this dealer! If you want to make a good deal on a reliable car, look for any other dealer!

I'm not sure how honest Farans post is. I put a deposit on a vehicle and have had to wait a couple of days while some repair work is being done on some issues they found. I'm not paying for it, they have not given me back my deposit trying to renegotiate. It's getting fixed and when it's ready I will take it for a drive to make sure it's up to snuff. I can still walk away. Plus I have the option to buy a warranty and even if I don't I still have a 30 day warranty free. I like the truck already, it's a good price and looks good. They are working as I write to ensure my potential new to me F150 operates as well as it looks. So far so good and Darren is a nice guy to work with. He has his salesman lines but of course he does. It's his job to get me into a nice used car. I will go there first the next time I need a used car or truck.

Greeting to all of those who’ve have the decency of going through all the reviews. They are always 2 sides to the story but reviews show you the danger of a single story. To begin with I’m no longer with Darryl’s Best Buys Auto Sales and I haven’t worked there in months and I’d like to point out the few individuals who’ve left a distasteful comment regarding my name. This is for all of those who’ve dragged my name here for defaming my character on a public sight. 1. Trish Ewanchew- I’m happy that you left a good review bare in mind I drove all the way and went through every step to make sure your husband was comfortable with the vehcile by taking it for a mechanical inspection of a shop of his choice. In my job as sales I always tried to make sure the customer is happy because my philosophy was always values over money any day. On top of that just to make sure everything was ok prior to Chuck received a 4000+ discount on the truck. I put in my everything to make sure people are happy. If it wasn’t enough for you everyone goes through car issues including myself, so I know the frustration that’s why I always say if anything happens please call my phone and I’d be there to help. 2. Sierra Hatten- You we’re accompanied with your father when you arrived at the dealership and you and him decided to purchase the vehicle subject to mechanical inspection which you guys had made arrangements to organise. I’m not here to push anyone to purchase a vehcile and being in the industry customers know what they want and I’ve told people straight up not to purchase certain vehcile because I don’t like it when people are disappointed with their purchase. Once you called for the repair about the muffler I asked you to bring the vehcile back immediately but you didn’t want to. I can’t force a customer to do anything especially after purchase. This wouldn’t have happened because we’d have diagnosed the issue thoroughly and sorted it out. Even with the repairs you did receive money being all the way in Tofino from what management told me because it was deducted from my paycheque. 3. Crystal Metz- Long story short she was given pictures of the vehcile and once I noticed that the vehcile had issues I told her I couldn’t sell her the vehicle due to mechanical issues and bare in mind this is a Jeep Liberty which we had agreed to find her for $1,000 with less than 200,000kms and clean title. I’m always out there to help people but we couldn’t find and communicated with her but she was unhappy because the rest of the vehicles were more than her budget. I’m alway out to help individuals but I don’t appreciate when such events go down and the outcome in dragging my name in the dirt. By the way management had reviewed the messages before her and I in order for me to continue working there prior to me leaving months later. 4. Benedikt Saretz & Leonie Konzelmann- These two are a beautiful couple that I feel tried to play a game but I didn’t entertain it for long. They purchased a vehcile being an MDX which I gave full disclosure that the turn signal isn’t working and if I ought to sell the vehcile it would be as is because it was advertised as that and they purchased the turn signal for $60 bucks. Now this is when it gets interesting they drove the vehicle down the west coast over summer round through the states and came back and added 30,000kms to the vehcile. When they came back to sell the car back they wanted $4200 back when they purchased it for $4999. Now list a few car rental companies that would allow you to rent a full size suv that didn’t break down and also only had the brakes changed because it was inevitable. They sent me photos of their trip and I responded to them to make sure all went well because I do follow up with most of my customers to make sure they had a great experience. I as an individual stand for integrity and morals over any time of capital gain. Money can’t be made but you can’t buy good character or a good relationship with people. Have a wonderful day to all the readers

If I could give this dealership negative stars, I would. In June 2017 I went into this dealership, looking for a reliable vehicle, and ended up walking away with a 98' Honda CRV for just over $5200. Allan was the sales representative that I had dealt with, and he seemed nice enough at the time. When it came time to looking over the documents of the vehicle, it seemed the detailed mechanics report could not be located. Allan assured me that the vehicle was in immaculate condition, and as soon as they found the mechanics report, they would send it directly to me via email. (I have still yet to receive that email lol) Being a young girl (21), and never having dealt with buying a car from a dealership before, I never thought that they would ever intentionally screw me over. Oh how wrong I was. I whole heartedly believe they saw their opportunity to take advantage of the situation, and sell me a vehicle that not only was absolute garbage, but was down right unsafe!! Within the first two days of owning it, I began to notice the brakes acting unusual. I then brought it to my mechanic, only to find out they had sold me vehicle with only 20% left on the breaks!! After this though, is where the real nightmare begun. Come August, (only two months later) my car began acting strange again. I ended up bringing my vehicle in once again to find out my catalytic converter was non-functional. I ended up getting it fixed and the next day began driving across Vancouver island. (From Tofino where I live, to the mainland) Only to have it break down about 45 minutes into the drive, in the most dangerous area of the Sutton Pass, completely without cellphone service, being forced to hitchhike the rest of the way to Port Alberni. I brought the situation to the attention of both Allan & Darryl, who informed me that apparently the warranty they sold me, was only for if I brought my vehicle into their shop, and then only receive slightly cheaper labour costs. My vehicle was in and out of the shop for over three weeks, replacing the fuel pump, O2 sensor, distributor, the battery, and a few smaller parts. By the end of September I had invested over $2500 into the vehicle on top of the price I purchased it for. Darryl was nice enough to send me over a small amount of money as a consolation (I believe $300 or $400). But at the end of the day, and the total amount this vehicle cost me, that is not enough to balance it out. Finally during the first weekend of September last year (2018), while on my way to Victoria, the transmission on my CRV blew, leaving me stranded in Duncan. That was the final straw, and I made the decision to scrap it, once and for all. So I guess moral of the story is, after just over a year and after spending about $8000, I had nothing. These guys sold me a nightmare of a vehicle that left me in debt, and with still the constant fear that any vehicle I'm driving is going to fall apart. Please, please, please, DO NOT buy any vehicle from this dealership. Or if you do, get it checked out by your trusted mechanic first. The last thing I want is for something like this to ever happen to anyone else, ever again. Be careful & be aware. They will try to take advance of you. (especially if you're young and unknowledgeable about the situation)

When I walked on to the Best Buys car lot I was immediately greeted by a gentleman who introduced himself as Big D. He asked me if I was ready to get a big deal on a quality used car. He was very polite and pleasantly honest. I told him what my budget was and he told me right away he could meet my budget. He listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle, because he got me in to more of a car than what I was expecting. I felt very at ease with all of the staff who Big D took the time to introduce me to. I am very happy I bought my car from Darryl's Best Buys... thank you Big D you really did fulfill your promise to get me a good car at a good deal. I love my car and I really didn't think my budget would allow me to get into a car like Big D got me into. I sent two of my friends down to look at a truck and a car and they both drove off just as happy as I did. They are very happy with the deal they got from Big D as well and I am happy to have referred them to Big D and his Big Deals. I am very confident to tell anyone I know to go down to Darryl's Best Buys...I hope you guys are around a long time.

Update to previous review. My husband Chuck purchased a truck from Daryls and at the time I wrote a very positive review. however, it has proven to be VERY premature. within 1 month of the purchase the cam shaft in the motor went and had to be replaced When summer arrived we discovered that the entire air condition unit and front fan had to be replaced. In addition to that the front motor fan had to be replaced. The auto window switches stopped working within 2 months. I also had to do work on the front end of the truck. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing a used vehicle. I would never recommend Darly's Best Buys to anyone.

I would NEVER buy from this place again. I purchased a car in February (a 2008 Ford Escape) and not only was it WAY over priced, the car is useless now. I still owe almost $9000 on this paper weight. First of all I was assured that the car was inspected and was in great condition. But only a few weeks after I bought the car I had to replace the brakes. ALSO I was assured that the windshield was the original windshield. But AGAIN a few weeks later I had to take the car in to have the windshield taken out and re-sealed since it was NOT the original windshield, and whoever put it in didn't even bother sealing it. And now I find out that quite a few cylinders are cracked and the head gasket is blown.... Needless to say this place screwed me royally. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!
