Decent size of campsites, some spots are not very private but size-wise is still good. The park has Gorgeous view of lake, and short trails for families. My only complaint is the shower in the public shower room. The temperature of the water was not stable when we were there. It kept changing from cold to very hot and made it challenging to shower.

I was surprised by how beautiful Darlington was! For being right outside Oshawa, it is very peaceful. There are highway and train sounds fairly often, but they are easily overpowered by the nature sounds. Great beach and nice big and grassy campsites.

Nice and calm place to be. Parks, beach, clear water. It even had camping grounds as per the boards, has a convenience store inside park. Saw people with barbecue at the beach. Good it is allowed. Need to get a reservation before hand... sometimes gets busy at one spot.

Such a great park being so close in proximity to large suburbs with everything you’d need for a camping trip. You can easily drive 5 minutes to find a hot breakfast, a butcher shop, local market, firewood, etc. They have cliff-side camping sites (ours had no electricity or water hook up) but there are bathroom sites. Our camping spot offered a great view of the sunset and amazing soundscapes of the lakeshore below.

We had an amazing time the views were beautiful the Camp style was amazing the wardens knew all the answers that we asked going back again next year to walk the trails and see the old Pioneer House. The only issue I had was having to wait in line to get back into the campsite when you already have your pass

Me and my friends went camping here at the end of summer as one last hurrah before we all went off to uni, and it was so much fun. The camping grounds are well maintained, and the spots are more than big enough to get your car and tents on. It was only a 5 minute walk down to the beach from out camping spot (which was one of the further away spots from the beach) and it was super easy. The beach was lovely and refreshing, and was relatively snooty (we went during the week on a regular day). The staff at the park shop were very polite and friendly, and even gave us good suggestions on where to hike.

The park itself is very nice. Staff were great, sites nice but the train and 401 noise is a lot. A suggestion may be to note this in the park description. For some families this can be tough with little ones as the train runs at least every hour and blows the horn everytime at the crossing. If people are aware of this they could better choose a site farther from the noise.

Good location for camping. You have to book in advance. Electricity connection is good. Bathrooms are fairly maintained. Walking 10 minutes trail to the beach. Price is around 50-60 cad per night. The only problem is that you can hear noise of passing train sometimes and noise of ongoing vehicle moving as it is close to the highway. Rest, we enjoyed a lot as we had a good group with us.
