Good BBQ pork are chosen cut, marinated and roasted, then dipped into honey syrup. When finished cooking, the appearance should have tiny burn at ends and shinny in appearance. When cut open, it has to present layers of taste, honey roasted texture and be juicy inside. Of course, there should be a fantastic sense to stimulate your appetite. Expect nothing less if you are serious to look for the best charshiu in town.
Use the above as a criteria, and you will be able to figure out the best shop in town yourself. You be the judge.
I came to this place many years ago out of curiosity. I met the owner's wife. I asked her all kind of questions about food allergy and asked her about the ingredients in detail. She was very friendly and answered my questions one by one. This is a family owned business originally from Toishan, 台山老華僑. We always buy BBQ pork, crispy skin roast pork and BBQ Duck from this place since then, no more Chinatown.

And affordable too! Two meals off Uber came to $23.28. The weird thing is that you are required to do a $1 add-on for a soft drink? So factor in an additional $1 for their rice combos.
We tried the duck and the siu yuk. The crispy siu yuk skin was perfect! And the duck was very flavourful. I particularly loved the duck sauce that came with the duck combo and drenched my rice with it!
Excited to order more from this place in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place came highly recommended as one of the top BBQ places in Montreal. Their reviews are also quite high on Google. However I was a little bit disappointed as I think I expected too much from the highly positive reviews. The BBQ duck is pretty good. That I got to give it to them but at $30, it is pretty expensive. The roasted pork was actually not bad if you get the good part but their BBQ Pork was not great as it felt more like partly boiled BBQ and also the pieces were too big. Overall, I would said yes it is one of the better places but I guess since I am used to the better BBQ places in the GTA, I can't help but feel a little bit disappointed but I know there is hope that one day, my family can have fantastic Chinese BBQ. I think Dak Hing is getting there. Keep up the good work

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought combo of 2 (No.1 bbq pork with rice and No.6 bbq duck with rice) and beef with rice (No. 9). [I forgot to take photos of my dinner, I was soooo hungry, so when I arrived home I just ate them].
They are pretty delicious and yummy and worth of money! The beef with rice is not so spicy, just a little little spicy. This restaurant only receive cash so don’t forget!
