Dairy Queen

The Tillsonburg DQ was supposed to be open on September 3rd but upon arrival at 8:30 pm all lighted signs (logo on front of store, logo on side of store, logo at road sign, neon "open" sign in window) but one ("chill and grill") were off. We were almost going to drive away, because the interior seating lights were also off, until we saw an employee behind the counter who didn't seem to be cleaning so we drove up to the drive-thru. My brother, who was planning to meet us there, didn't stop as it looked closed. At the drive thru, after a delay answering, we asked if the dining area was open as we thought my brother and sister-in-law were meeting us. We were told it was so we went inside. We ordered our Blizzards and then told the two staff at the counter (drive thru employee and cashier) that we thought the place was closed because all but one sign was off and they didn't even respond, as if they didn't address it because it was intentional. I then went to the men's bathroom and there were no paper towels and the electric dryer wouldn't turn on. While eating at a table I saw a few other people outside who were confused about whether the DQ was open. One customer pulled to open the door on the front by the drive thru but it was already locked around 8:40pm. We were seated by the front window and could hear a staff laugh and make fun at the customer for encountering the locked door even though I believe that door is normally an entrance. This was unprofessional. It was clear from the situation that the employees didn't want any business and were doing what they could to discourage any while leaving a tiny bit of plausible deniability, These employees are hurting the business and led to lost sales from my family tonight.

Good location and excellent ice cream. They are always quite busy but the staff work efficiently to clear the lines. The staff are very friendly and always make the orders correctly. The only change I would like to see is, when ordering a blizzard through drive through either fill the cup less or provide lids. Also, stop turning them upside down. They already leak all over hells half acre 2 minutes after leaving.

Service was slow, 20 min wait for a burger and fry.. shouldn't have been that long of a wait since there was no one in the store. The food was good.

This is the slowest driver thru, on Feb 8th we spent more the 15 minutes and they had not even taken our order so we ended up leaving. whoever is managing this location needs to hire more staff. Upper management needs to do something.

fast service for an icecream cake to be customizes with icing. If you want a custom cake (different layers) call more than 48 hours in advance. Otherwise you have to get one from the freezer thats already made

Teach your staff to accommodate customers. When I say I want X and Y in my blizzard, I shouldn't have to determine a menu item to substitute the ingredients. If you need them to enter it that way, have them learn the menu and figure it out for me. Not my job.

This dairy Queen was excellent. I had a coupon to use and they helped explain which burger the coupon was talking about. As well as they were open late, until 10pm which was later than I expected.

Went there around 8:13 pm ordered chicken (warm food) was told they close in 10 minutes and no (warm food) was available checked the hours close at 9:00pm I'd understand if it was 20 to 15 minutes before closing but 45 minutes? Subway next door was vary friendly quick honest and efficient
