Dahan Goaltending - Goalie Hockey School

Dahan Goaltending has been instrumental in our sons development. The improvements we have seen in his skills over the last 4 years are simply amazing. Nick is passionate about hockey and is by far the best goaltending coach we have seen. Our son looks forward to every training session with him and always comes off the ice with a smile on his face. I would highly recommend trying a session at Dahan, guaranteed you will not be disappointed!!

Nick and his team take great care to prepare goalies physically for the demands of the position & also work to develop the mental toughness and resiliency that is critical to succeed as a goalie. Every student is held to a high standard from an effort stand point & are taught to be supportive to their goalie partners and team mates. The coaches break down the fundamentals of each drill and work with kids in a positive way until they master what they are working on. There is emphasis placed on replicating game situations in the drills as well and Nick and team work hard to keep the kids engaged.

The Dahan goalie school and camps are without a doubt one of the most professionally run organized programs you will find. My daughter 2005, made the PWHL under Nick’s instruction. See Lyla McKinnon video, YouTube. Nick starts every session with great warmup drills and proceeds to ramp up the training to max level. He expects the maximum effort from each goalie - matching his and his awesome training teams’. Seriously, don't waste your money if you’re not prepared to drain the tank for his ice sessions. You’ll only get out what you put in. We found Nick a year ago and feel extremely fortunate that we did. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about him - in case he fills up! :)

My son is 8years old. Been playing for only about 4 months. Is he maybe a bit soft? Ya he probably is. But he came home in tears after his session. Coaches can be intense but they should know some kids can handle that more then others. He was doing great. Playing AA hockey and getting called up to AAA regularly. He just started playing goaltender and was loving it but doesn’t want to play no more. 8 year old kids don’t respond well to yelling. If anything I hope this doesn’t happen to another kid.

As a goalie parent, I feel confident in watching Nick work with my son. Each session is of high-quality whether it be a group clinic, camp or semi-private. Nick demands passion, hard work, attention to details, continuous effort, and gives the same for every goalie.

From the moment you meet nick and his staff your made well aware that the priority will be on the success of your Tendy, nothing more or less. No pampering no Patting bums, his work ethic is contagious he expects his goalies to be physically and mentally prepared to succeed. If they want it, they can be trained. My son has changed as a person more in 6 months then the last few years combined. He pushes himself, understands he can’t always succeed but without trying your automatically fail, and how to speak up for himself. The training itself is fairly even between repetitions and new skills, the availability is ALL year perfect for off season training, and the cost although slightly higher then some is 100% worth it. Recently and just once my son tried another camp run by a OHL/NHL prospect and he was bored and at Atom better then some bantam goalies when it came to fundamentals and effort. You don’t need alternative training and your kid can take a week off and still be sharp on their return. NICK, your changing lives not just coaching goalies, you’ve changed us as parents in ways I’d never thought possible we to have taken a step back and allowed Rob to fall and fail. Thank you

Our 09 son is approaching his third season training with Dahan Goaltending and he continues to want more. High-level sport can be intimidating and with the guidance he has received from Nick and the coaching staff; his focus and confidence have dramatically increased. Our son loves attending Goalie Dynamics where every participant is engaged and encouraged to push themselves to their full potential. There is an age range for this program which gives younger goalies the drive to strive and older goalies the opportunity to demonstrate their technique. This model of training fosters confidence and camaraderie amongst the goalies and honestly it’s an amazing thing to watch. The intensity of all of the programs is high but the technique and resilience gained, leaves a goalie that is mentally prepared to take the ice in any game. Nick offers a clear and consistent expectation that builds a formidable foundation. Our son thrives on the philosophy where the more he gives the more he gets out of each training session and this attitude was fostered by attending Dahan programs. Our goalie has found an appreciation for yoga and nutrition after Dahan’s March break and summer goalie camps. Nicks camps are well rounded and offer so much, wether it’s for the day or the entire week. Dahan Goaltending is top-notch training you can trust, grow, and take pride in a-tending. By far the best training my son has been to! Nick and his team deliver the best and expect the best. My son has improved every aspect of being a better goaltender because of Dahan Goaltending. We have noticed a big difference both in skill and confidence in him as he plays at the AA level with the objective of making AAA.
