★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got 9 pieces macaron set and one Mont blanc cake. The character macarons are cute. They come with a tiny booklet that explains which character is for which flavour but I think it's outdated or maybe they change up their characters often because most of it didn't match with what the macarons tasted or looked like. Some macarons were quite dry, didn't have much flavour, had air pockets in the macaron shells.
The cake was soft, moist, the cream was smooth and had small bits of chestnuts in it, although not as flavourful as I would have hoped for. It is generally difficult to get a good flavour of chestnut in a cream, and I think they had a subtle taste of the nut. overall a decent cake. Better than most bakeries I've tried thus far. One thing, if I were to point is that at the bottom of Mont blanc cake was something like a cookie base, which gave a crunchy aspect to the overall cake, but it had (I believe) yuzu peel in it that didn't really compliment the cake and the general flavour it has.
They also sell fun flavored cookies, I didn't try them but they look good.
