r	rainbow rose on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi im a youth staying here on and off. And the only problem with the rules i have is they dont follow them. The faciities are unclean and frankly grotesc. The food is always raw or moldy. They do not support you even if your are achieving all goals. They want you to be honest but then kick you out for it. They constantly mess up your medication wich they keep for your yet dont bother administering it properly infact narcotics have gone missing from the locked cabinet wich only staff have one key to and its in their ofice. Sometimes they dont do your londry or worse they leave it soaking wet. If we had access to our meds, doing our own londry, cleaning our own facilities, not only would we build nessasary life skills, we would only fail at our own faults. It is demeaning, heartbreaking and pointless if we are giving it all our effort and then we lose a job because our londry was not done proper, due to someone else. In the real world we woud have responsibility of our londry and such and if we mess up then ya thats on us. But when arent even given the proper chance to try and we lose battle after battle simply because people will not give us responsibility despite those same people demanding responsibility. Its pointless. Atleast on the street we can take our seiscure medications propperly.

D	Dee Michelle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been living here on and off since April 2018. This place is nicer than any other shelter/safe house I've been in. I like most of the staff and we get bed to sleep in and 3 meals a day and snack every evening. We get story night and movie night and art group. This place isn't ideal for teenagers because of the curfew and rules but just remember you gotta give a little to get a little. I highly recommend this place. They have helped me and encouraged me and supported me. They have never given up on me...I suffered in my addiction for the last decade and I now have 22 days clean and sober...and Covenant House has been a huge help. If you are a youth looking for a safe place and support come to Covenant House. There is 2 locations....the one for Female Identifying youth is on Drake st. The one for Male Identifying youth is on Pender.

Also they couldn't accommodate me having my own room even when I explained my trauma with it. They said it's "policy". Not very accommodating. Felt like a second class citizen.
