β β β β β Lunchtime review: if you're looking for a genuine hole-in-the-wall, but fresh Chinese-Canadian buffet made in small-batches, this is your place! Good variety, price; ice-cream included. Egg rolls rival some of Ottawa's 'other' famous egg-roll establishments. A must-try if you're all about the buffet and not atmosphere. Caution for people with mobility or immunity issues: bathrooms are in basement (circa 1960's!?) and are a disaster...plan accordingly!

With the pandemic being a nuisance for the last couple of years, I've taken advantage of ordering takeout from the country place a bunch. I can't say anything bad at all. The owners are incredibly caring and loving people who have dedicated years upon years making excellent fresh Chinese food. I had one mishap where they forgot to include my rice in my order, but they honored it after MONTHS until I ordered the very next time. Can't go wrong with their open ended egg rolls, chicken balls, chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, and more! I'm always satisfied with the quality of food that they make!

β β β β β Went for the lunch buffet. Horrid. Just horrid. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences i have ever been through.
Lunch buffet is advertised as served from 12 to 2. Arrived at 1245, to a very depleted buffet table but was told "we are making new food." The only new food that was served were more deep fried chicken balls and egg rolls. No noodles, no rice, no meat or vegetable dishes.
What little food was available was astoundingly bad quality...the dozen or so patrons in the restaurant had to scrape the bottom of the serving trays, to get at the lukewarm remnants of a couple veg and meat dishes. It appears they put one serving of anything even marginally fresh, and, once gone, neglected to produce anymore, content to throw some low quality filler food in a deep fryer and serve that.
I was so astounded at the sheer awfulness of it that i took a couple of photos to show the dismal state of the "buffet". These were taken around 1pm, just halfway through lunch service.
Truly disappointed.

β β β β β This is a family run Chinese restaurant. A little hidden gem in Ottawa. Very friendly. Food is very good. Price is better than other places as well.
Their chicken wings are delicious. Their spring rolls are crispy and full of meat!

β β β β β Food is pretty good overall. One Star only because of the almost $6.00 ripoff delivery fee when using skip the dishes. People need to standup to these ridiculous charges. I think having someone serving the tables and washing the dishes costs them as much as the containers they put the food into for delivery. My opinion, might be yours.

β β β β β Best General Tso's Chicken I've had at a 'Canadian-Chinese' food place, most General Tso's just tastes like it's been slathered in Sweet/Sour sauce. The sauce they use tastes (and feels) like they've actually used Szechuan chillies. Other food is pretty good too, but I'd come back just for the Tso's to be honest.
