About Coors Event Centre

Coors Event Centre hosts events of all sizes; 25-100, 400, and 1000 person capacity spaces. We create our environment – our venue has the ability to adapt to every event or setting. With moving walls, a theatre-style balcony, multiple tiers, three premium-service bars, four stage styles, and arcade/billiard games – the space can be created into any venue concept you can dream of.

We have a bit of everything on any given night in Downtown Saskatoon. We are honoured to be a leading cultural staple in the Saskatoon music and entertainment scene. We are the ‘in-between’ of small room and stadium-style concerts. We create a spotlight for local talent to be seen on our smaller stages, as well as opportunities to be heard opening for larger acts on our full-venue stage. We are the only spot in Saskatchewan with the ability to adapt our capacities to accommodate a stop for almost every tour driving through town – giving Saskatchewan an opportunity to hear your favourite large act at an affordable price.

When we are not showcasing the best names in music on our stage we are operating as The Common Room – A entertainment-focused Games Room. The Common Room is the center of all-things-entertainment in Saskatoon, SK – making it the spot to be. The Common Room was created to provide an easily accessible entertainment facility for music lovers, thrill seekers, and social gatherers. While providing opportunities for the local music and entertainment scene to have a stage to put their creative energy into our room. We host a unique line-up of up-and-coming local musicians and well-known entertainers each night in The Common Room. The Games Room has a large variety of games – pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball, darts, air hockey, arcade area, pinball, and a whole lot more. The Games Room is entirely free to play, we want you to enjoy the space as much as we do!

The experience doesn’t stop with who is performing on the stage – Our venue events are decorated with the best of the best in Audio and Visual equipment and technology, housing a D&B Sound System and MA Lighting Console giving each event a unique flare that you would normally only experience at a stadium sized concert.

Our venue is backed by a tight-knit team with a small family dynamic proudly supported by Molson Coors. Full of big hearts, and larger than life ambition. The Venue is operated by a hand-picked crew of dreamers, and that passion carries down from the company president to the small team of stage hands, security, bartenders, door Staff. Our team are real people and are important people to our community – parents, teachers, nurses, students – all who love what they do and are passionate about bringing music and entertainment to the prairies.

You would think after hosting countless events, artists, and shows, that this place would have figured out how to effectively handle a coat check, security, or even the visual effects of the performance, but alas, this venue never ceases to be incompetent. After attending numerous sold out shows I can confidently say that this is the worst venue I have ever attended. Their crowd management is pathetic, they are ridiculously understaffed every time, their drinks are mostly ice in tiny cups, and I have been disappointed each time I attend this location. I don't blame the staff, this is a clearly a management problem. They ought to sell the location to a more adept company because it is just shameful how horribly they manage it now.

First time at this venue. Took my daughter's to their first metal show. They had a blast beat of a good time.

O'Brians Event Centre is a fun place to see live shows. It isn't a very big place so you don't have to worry about large crowds. It's an open concept place with very little seating so you have to be ok standing for shows unless you pay for VIP tickets which gets a better view from an upper balcony with tables and chairs. The line at the bar for drinks was never too long and they had a decent selection of beers, cider and hard liquor. The coat check was reasonably priced at 2$ although free would be even better! The ticket price for the show I attended (Rural Alberta Advantage on Dec. 1/2017) was 30$ which was a nice surprise given the bloating ticket prices for live shows across the country in recent years. The staff was all very friendly and ushered people out gently after the show had concluded. One thing I did notice was that certain sounds/instruments would drown out the others during the show. Maybe this is simply an artifact of the room design or if the band simply set it up that way, but often times the lead singer's voice and guitar would drown out the keyboardist and even the drummer! Otherwise the show was great, as was the atmosphere at this location. I would definitely see more shows here!

So there’s no way to contact the venue directly. Show is canceled one day prior to the event and no refund allowed. There is no way to contact a person. This is bad customer service during a time when there should be good service for those of us still supporting live events.

This is a great venue for local musicians to show off their talents. My son was playing lead guitar for Adam Johnson and the set was great!!

*This is a 5 star establishment* as soon as they provide notices regarding recycling at the end of the event* Staff is friendly and welcoming. Outdoor line up for vaccination check was very quick even though it appeared the line would take longer. Love the space and setup inside. Masks are still essential unless you are sipping your drink at the time. Garbage cans are available everywhere and *it appears the premises lack recycling bins*After speaking with staff* We learned the event has a *cleaning team* whom sorts through the garbage after the event and recycles the cans and bottles. A little tedious, but happy to hear they recycle. Individually, I love the environment. Throwing cans into a garbage freaked me out, and after speaking to the staff my worries were lessened. Please provide recycling bins for future events or provide notices so the environmental conscious people aren’t worried. Men’s washroom update - all urinals are out of order. Hot and cold taps are reversed. Woman’s washroom - 1 soap dispenser works and the other does not. There are 2 hand air dryers. Poor layout for lineups.
