★ ★ ★ ★ ★ dropped off a dado blade for sharpening.. called to see if it was ready and they told me I never dropped it off and they don't sharpen blades (with attitude). its because of the attitude they have lost my rental business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a Rotary Hammer drill to drill 3 holes in a large rock on our property, I was provided with a 1/2" bit to do same. I was advised not to put pressure on the drill while working as well as I was shown how to use the tool. I did notice some discolouration on the bit but just assumed it was normal as other drill bits I own have a different colour on their tips.
I did the work in the matter advised by the store staff and returned the equipment in about 4 hours. Upon returning the tools and the bit, I was informed that the diamonds were missing and I was responsible for the cost of replacing the bit, and it was suggested I put excessive pressure on the drill to cut into the stone.
I was careful not to put pressure on the drill, as I am aware of problems that can occur when drilling holes if you put excessive pressure on a drill, and I was only doing 3 holes to a depth of about 8 " to 10". I was also informed that the discolouration on the bit was caused by excessive pressure on the bit.
Clearly, I was given a used bit to do the job and it was defective, causing the diamonds to dislodge during use. I did protest to the staff, but to no avail, and was forced to buy a new bit.
If they are going to rent used equipment, like bits then they should check before doing so and not force unsuspecting customers to pay for damaged caused by their renting defective equipment.
There are lots of other rental companies in Bracebridge, I will use them next time!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented a hammer drill to remove tile and mortar. I requested a wider bit to remove mortar. I was told not to use it because that bit has a habit of breaking.
The 3" bit I used (the only one recommended) pitted my concrete floor that I had planned on grinding and polishing. I don't know if I can do that now. Staff's response was: I didn't know that was your plan.
An odd response because I spent 20 minutes there asking about concrete floor grinding and polishing equipment when I rented the hammer drill!
While complaining, the senior guy on staff simply stood in the corner silently, only looking up to say hi to another customer.
It takes effort and time to write negative reviews, yet in this case I feel justified and in some ways compelled.
Nice guys, I'm sure, but better product knowledge and "connecting dots" when clearly indicated, would help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought in my chainsaw to have the chain sharpened on October 23. I was told two weeks as they were busy. After three weeks I called and was told the saw required major repairs and was unsafe to use. I asked for an estimate but never heard back. One month later I was fed up waiting and picked up my chainsaw and was told that I was next in line. Nothing had been done to the chainsaw and it runs fine. There were no major repairs needed. I do not recommend doing business with this company.

Whether it's a chipper rental or a tractor.. even as a stihl equipment dealer they are always professional and very reliable. Including fixing any problems with the equipment. Definitely Recommend Copper Rentals
