Consumers Tire - Markham

I have now used Consumers tire twice and have an appointment booked for later this month and I must say how pleased I am with the service I have received here. I used to use another shop in Richmond Hill, (which I will not name because it’s not my nature) but after being treated awfully I was in need of a new shop after many years using the aforementioned place. Al has looked after me twice, and has treated me very well. While I do not know the name of the gentleman who assisted me this morning, I would also like to thank him for his generosity and kind treatment today! If you’re reading this I was in front of you at Tims just prior to collecting my tires. Thank you again very much, and next time coffees on me! Brought my car in for installation of winter tires and rims . Appointment was 9 AM and I arrived a bit earlier. Handed over the car keys in good time for 9 AM I saw my car STILL parked outside at the front of the shop at 9:40 AM (not brought to the back yet for work to be done). This is forty minutes after my appointment time started. When I asked reception at 9:40 AM about my car still being out front and not brought in, the reception did not bother looking at the file or my car outside and just mumbled they would get it done within the two hour quoted time.....okay, I'm not sure how they would get it all done by 11:00 AM at this point. So I waited patiently. At 10:15 AM I STILL saw my car out front of the store and not in the back shop yet. If everything was to be done as promised the wheels and rims would have been on by 11 AM. This time I spoke to the reception again and now he finally looked at my file and went into the back shop to check in. This is over an hour after my morning appointment. They finally brought my car in around 10:30 AM and it was done around Noontime. I really don't like people that don't respect the time they quoted. Oh, and the receptionist who helped to coordinate the appointment (Emma) failed to mention that when you install new rims, there will be a "low pressure" error on your dashboard. You have to pay over $200 to get that error off of your dashboard by installing sensors on the rims. Wouldn't you figure that reception should mention this at the time of providing a full quote and booking your appointment?? Just be aware their service times are misquoted and they are not prompt on getting the work started in a timely manner. Keep an eye on your car if you parked it outside of the store front to make sure it is brought to the shop in a decent time And if you're getting rims here on your winter tires, read my comment above about the "low pressure" error on your dashboard and be prepared to pay over $200 to fix it. And I don’t know about other work that is done in the shop for other customers, but my winter tires and rims were cash only (no debit card and certainly no credit card).

Decent prices and knowledgeable staff makes this place a first consideration for tires. Odds are low you will find a better deal elsewhere, and they are certainly way more competent than some car dealerships I know. They have been here many years so they must be doing something right.

Comsumers Tire always comes through with quick service, great pricing for tires, and a great selection for all budgets. I've been a customer for a few years now.

Done my comparion with several tire stores in Markham and this place gave me the best deal for my set of snows with rims. Entire purchase and service experience was good in overall. Just be prepared to wait as they are busy.

I could not possibly have had a better experience at Consumers Tire. John was friendly, professional and efficient. The price was unbeatable as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone in search of new tires and/or rims!

I would give ten stars if I could. We all know how busy the staff at this shop are. They found time today to fit me in three times (1 original appointment, 2 problem solving) to check out a tire issue and try two different solutions until I was outfitted with safe winter tires. A staff member even took the time to take the car for a drive to verify a potential tire imbalance! The staff is super friendly, helpful and your tires are stored in a safe facility. Highly recommend.

They offered amazing price and service for a set of rims I bought. Such polite people and never pushy with sales. The person changing my tires noticed my brake was not installed properly by the previous mechanic. The store even called in a nearby mechanic as a favour to correct the installation error and made sure I was able to drive out of there safely. Highly recommend for their attention to details!
