Cons: No pets, caught few ticks after walk.
Suggestion: Stay hiking area's trail and don't walk shortcut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place for a nice walk in the park away from town. Lots of wild life such as ducks, geese, pelicans, deer and other prairie animals.
There is a nice covered area on the Northside with picnic tables and some restrooms. There are other pit toilets on the south and mid point of the road. As well as plenty of parking at any area.
There are plenty of benches to just sit and watch the wild life. There is a small gezebo further down the path. There are interpretive paths as well as well traveled paths.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the Condie Nature Refuge is a mere shadow of its former self. I fondly remember the mini-natural-history-museum on the south shore and the giant wood teepee on the north shore of the reservoir. All of the nature preserve information signs detailing the original teepee ring(s) rock configurations have been vandalized beyond recognition. It's such a shame that a few narrow minded individuals could so thoroughly destroy such a fragile eco-reserve, and in doing so, unwittingly deprive so many future generations from the enjoyment of experiencing nature in a pristine environment! :-(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful!! Wide open areas perfect for family gathering and there was enough room to play afew out door games. As well the nature paths are well maintained or very well traveled on. There were some old signage and areas that the other people that we were with were saying remember what used to be here. It would have been nice to have seen those back in the day. Or have them refurbished and put back. It was fun to explore the area.
