β β β β β WHY use this airport? Super easy in-out ... if you have family flying onto the island, this airport gives the greatest views on approach. Convenient parking with plenty of well-placed ticket machines (don't forget to put one on your dashboard). Food and snack options are good - makes waiting more fun!

β β β β β Thankfully National Car Rental says open until the last flight lands. We were supposed to land at 10:30 am on Friday but West Jet had delays and we got in 14 hours later at 12:30 am on Saturday.
Budget said they had no vehicles and I had to cancel my booking with Enterprise because they were closed several hours before we landed and closed for the weekend.

β β β β β Last minute trip to Calgary last month ( death in the family ) , I was a little stressed to say the least . Justin in security was such a breath of fresh air . He seemed to sense I was going through something and was going out of his way to make me laugh . He was very kind and very polite . If it wasnβt for COVID I could have hugged him . Thank you for making a rough emotional day so much easier for me . Great employees at our little airport !

β β β β β Iβve been flying from this airport for years, and usually I have no issues. However, last time I was there I received terrible customer service from their employee. They need to train & educate their employees better on how to deal with customers. I emailed them to let them know and they havenβt even bothered writing me back.

β β β β β Slow and unorganized. Construction doesn't help this. New screening area is small.
Waiting area seems larger and roomier now though.
Come early
Edited for Karen's sake.... wow. Can't run an airport and take a bad review. Yes we all got the same issues today dear. But the Comox Airport houses the problems. You think when someone complains about the YYC Calgary mess there is a Karen trying to shame them there?

β β β β β Small airport that's easy to navigate. Clean and bright. Flair has started flying out of here with convenient times and great prices. Hopefully one day they can bring back the waiting area puzzles. It worked to get me to show up early! Bring a book to exchange before security.

β β β β β It's a very nice airport. I have never had any problems here. Getting through security early in the morning has always been quick and effortless for me, but do make sure to get here with time to spare, because sometimes it has been a bit busy early in the morning, relative to its size as an airport.
