★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Negative experience. This company assumes that if you are their client you must not be responsible. They insist on paying your taxes, collect the money and then don’t pay your taxes on time. They create reasons to ask for more money be they extra fees or unusual upfront fees. Beware of a broker who recommends them.
They also do not report your mortgage to the credit bureau which lowers your credit rating because it appears you do not have a registered mortgage. Seems to be apart of their client retention strategy. Save yourself frustration, fees, and high interest and find a better lender.
After I made my review the lender started calling me which I did not request or appreciate. What is done is done. Only changes to their business practices would impact how clients review this lender.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very great company to get mortgage from any time and any day. I applied and i got approval right away with better rate and customer services was awesome I will give 110% for the rate and the speed that was
delivered to the tasks as I only had 2 weeks left and it was successful with CT. Thanks alot Omar. This is my favorite mortgage company and I will stay as long as I styll have a mortgage n save alot of $$$$

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not take, refinance or apply for any Mortgages with this Company. Community Trust Company is the worst Financial Mortgage company in Canada. Stay away from this Morgage Company! They will foreclosed your property and take legal actions against you if your late or any financial matter beyond your control.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. There are much better lenders out there in terms of customer service, rates and fees My lawyer will not deal with this company again. Both home closings were delayed, due to late paperwork by CTC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got mortgage from community trust last year, and the service was great. There is an issue regarding my property tax which should been handled in march 2021, but it was not done. Drashti Desai figured out what the problem was and has been working on the problem since then. She has been far above and beyond my expectations. She has been in touch with me every day to get the issue sorted out. I recommend her to anybody who is looking for exceptional care and services. She is on top of everything and is familiar with all rules and regulations needed for mortgage. I highly recommend her to people seeking for great services. Thank you Dear Drashti.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a Mortgage agent and I have to say that Community trust has turned the corner on service, I am not sure if they got new management but the new re organization has really made a difference. I thought I would write this review, because when a company gets poor reviews and they make a change it usually goes unseen. There is a change here, they are much better now service wise. Last but not least I give CT my "B" deals because their options and rates are the best, just can't beat them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a Horrible Horrible experience. And I am not even a customer. We went through the application process and provided every shred over almost 1 month and they cannot close it out for some strange reasons not given. The kept sending me the wrong documents to sign stating i am paying ridiculous amounts. When they sent the correct one, Isigned them and they kept sending the wrong ones. They asked for docs that are no longer even provided on the corporate workplace. This was a ridiculous exercise in futility and looks like an attempt to deceive the customers. Even if they are ready to proceed which they have no reason not to, I am backing away and will not trust this firm moving forward. the previous reviews I have read helped to solidify my decision not to proceed with them. Thanks to all the contributors. It's about time that our voice is heard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The application process started off great - but since then it's been repeated delays, documents not being fully reviewed or new requirements to vet, and was recently told that my mortgage switch was not prioritized as those customers who were getting a mortgage for a new house so their legal team would not get to it as quickly to turn around.
Now the advisor is appearing to be ignorning my emails, or selectively replying. My original bank did everything they could to get my attention, however this group is quite the opposite.
I have a lot of trust with Questrade but have found their mortgage group well below their standard. Great ads - which is why I moved forward in trusting them with my home - and extremely disappointed with this turnaround. I will be sharing my feedback to others as I don't want others to make the same error.
