OUR PURPOSE

Community Baptist Church (CBC) of Beardmore, Ontario is an independent, Christ centered, Bible teaching ministry.  The purpose of CBC is to glorify God through the preaching and teaching of His Word, the building up of believers in Christ, and the propagation of the gospel of the grace of God (Colossians 3:16,17; Philippians 2:16; II Timothy 4:2; Ephesians 4:11-13; Acts 20:24).

In conjunction with our church doctrinal statement (see “WHAT WE BELIEVE“), the outworking of every ministry at CBC exists with the following foundation serving as an anchor and way-point to guide us toward accomplishing our purpose and objectives:

• Loving God

“Loving God” is only possible because, by His grace, He first loved us (see John 3:16)!  Our response of love to Him is a result of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Living by faith, sharing the gospel, building strong families and growing individually and together in our Saviour are central to our expression of love for God.   “We love Him because He first loved us”   I John 4:19

• Loving People  

“Loving people” is a result of a vibrant, growing relationship with God and an understanding of His love for ALL people.  By the Spirit’s enablement, our compassion, commitment, respect, discipleship and investment of our lives in others reflects this love of Christ in our hearts!

• Loving Service  

“Loving service” means exercising our God given gifts toward the benefit of others in our homes, our church family and our communities.  This is how we tangibly illustrate our love for God and love for people!

CHILDREN/YOUTH MINISTRIES

Our desire at CBC is to inspire children and youth to develop a heart for God and a genuine respect and love for their family and for others.  By God’s grace, this is accomplished through a commitment of setting a Godly example, loving and caring for each child, fun activities and developing Christ like character from practical, real life Bible lessons!
