This program covers many topics day-to-day, including global news, local expressions, resume, cover letter, presentation, etc. Especially thanks to the teacher - Spencer who is so great teacher. He always encourages us to show confidence in our life, even though we are newcomers. Don't give up! Everyone could do very well in our fields. We should keep working hard for our new immigrant life.

On the first week we learned about some useful idioms, common questions in job interviews, the work environment in Vancouver and other useful items. In the following 3 weeks, we had other learning items related to our future carrier including how to organize our LinkedIn profile, prepare a good resume and cover letter, as well as 3 sample interviews with our classmates and under supervision of the course' instructor. Also, we got some useful links to how to prepared for interview, how use ZOOM, ... Finally in 5th week we had 2 private sessions separately with our special cases and needs. Totally from my point of vies, this course was very fruitful and I am sure that it can help us to find our future job. Again thank to Spencer with his energetic and kind character..

The course is short but very informative and valuable for the newcomers who want to start over their careers and seek a job here in Vancouver or elsewhere in Canada. Enrollment was really simple, and Mr. Mohamed Touahria kindly did everything over the phone. Additionally, Spencer is a knowledgeable and passionate teacher who knows the Canadian work culture very well and cares about each participant in his class. He organized two extra 30-minute one-to-one sessions for each of us in the fifth week to overview and summarize the subjects according to each person’s needs. He is highly organized and really engaging. I learned a lot about different aspects of job search, from writing resumes and covers letters to interview challenges during this short course. Spencer is not only an excellent instructor, but he is also a good person with a golden heart, caring a lot about his country, people and environment while respecting other cultures. Therefore, I strongly recommend every newcomer to attend and enjoy this course with Spencer Gee without any hesitation.
