They said he had strep throat and put him on antibiotics, his test came back negative and he was getting treated for something we don't even know what it was he had all the symptoms of covid so I don't understand why they didn't test him for covid too. I'll take my kids here if it was a last resort definitely will make the trip to bonnyville next time.

I went to another clinic and told them what happened and they were flabbergasted at their incompetence. Go somewhere else if you can or get second opinions after!!

B	Brax on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked in with a broken ankle, sat in a room for 5+ hours. Doctor tells me to go to Bonnyville for surgery in 2 days. Called Bonnyville to confirm and there was no report of me, also lucky we called because their Operation Room has a water leak and they couldn’t even perform the surgery. Came back and got referred to Edmonton. Don’t even waste your time going to Cold Lake Hospital.

I had reoccurring tonsillitis and they kept doing nothing about it until I went to Bonnyville and the doctor was shocked I wasn’t referred to a specialist to get them removed. Which he then did. I was also having digestive issues and 3 times cold lake hospital told me nothing was wrong and I was just fat and overweight (I weighed 150 pounds and I’m 5’7) finally went to bonnyville and they told me had I of waited any longer I would of went septic and died as infections were spreading throughout my organs. They don’t know how to treat patients, my friend also went in with severe pain they told her she was over reacting sent her away she had to come in 2 hours later and needed emergency surgery as her appendix ruptured.
Q	Quest Marker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I find the staff, nurse's and doctors to be very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. However, the front desk receptionist are always super rude. You can't ask them any questions whatsoever, even non-medical questions without them cutting you off and getting all snippy. I understand that hospital staff is going through a lot right now, but I always try to be as polite as possible and I still receive terrible attitude from the front desk ladies. Roll eyes, rudeness, condescending attitude. Not sure what the problem is with them...

There was no others waiting in Emerg- Honestly I was in a lot of pain, the nurses were very nice to me and understood I wasn't feel good. I was put into a room quickly ( Mind you I do understand its not always the case and it does get busy ) . I just want to say thank you the nurses who helped me exp the Triage nurse . I know its a hard time* its not always easy ( we are all human ) but I just wanted to say thank you for doing your job & coming in everyday or night! . The DR was good and did his job. Thanks again!

So, yes we have had to adjust some of our expectations. We have had to come to the emergency department for after hour care. Our experience has been very positive. The person who greeted us and medical staff have been great. Yes, it does take time, especially when emergency is busy, to deal with our issues. But, we have been attended to with grace, kindness and professionalism!! High marks Cold Lake Healthcare Centre!
