I purchased an alpaca duvet, winter grade, most expensive one from COKAL Alpaca business online at the beginning of November 2021. My credit card was immediately charged the day of the purchase but I had to wait 6 weeks for its arrival. To my shock item arrived damaged due to poor packaging, and it is nothing like described. There's several things that are wrong but biggest one is that the squares are not filled with wool properly, some of them barely have any filling at all (see attached photos). Attached photos speak louder than words. The package arrived on December 20th and I immediately reached out to the COKAL alpaca business on the same day. I never used the item. On December 21st I had the alpaca duvet inspected by an experienced wool/down duvet seamstress and she stated that duvet was made by an inexperienced individual and that for what I actually received I was extremely overcharged (due to very poor workmanship). She also stated that this is NOT how a wool duvet is made, as it will not provide any warmth at all. I am one income single parent and I have trusted information I was provided in regards to workmanship and how wonderful the duvets are prior to my purchase and I paid a hefty amount for it. I have offered two resolutions and Both were refused by the company and I was told that I must ship it back at my own expense (about $200 quoted by Canada Post), and insured. I was told that once it's received and up to their satisfaction, only then I would receive potential credit. This is simply absurd. I paid over a thousand dollars for an item that was not even made properly, and definitely not as described. I lost over thousand dollars on a useless product that I can't use. This company should be flagged for others as a warning. The ratings on their website are hand picked; only positive reviews are published and negative ones get deleted by the owner. Update to owners response --- solution that was offered is unacceptable as I already spent over a thousand dollars. It's absurd to charge over thousand dollars and expect the buyer to pay for return shipment. I had no intention of returning the duvet at all but the duvet is poorly made, barely filled with wool (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). I am not returning on the whim, I need to return because it's simply NOT what I paid for. Based on the price I paid, owner is not being reasonable at all. I definitely learned my lesson. January 13, 2022 update - I was accused of manipulating the photos on here. Nothing is manipulated, I took pics with my phone. For non believers I invite you over and you can see with your own eyes. I was not given a resolution at all so I finally slept under this duvet. I was shivering at night and it's only about -5 degrees here, so I lost over thousand dollars and I have no product to keep me warm. For anyone that knows how a wool duvet should be made, you know it is made incorrectly. For everyone who doesn't know, you think it is correct.

Recently purchased scarf, socks and gloves. Beautiful products. The owners are lovely people. Very friendly. Recently purchased all season quilt...absolutely awesome, warm, well made, exceptional quality. Love it. Highly recommend Cokal Alpaca. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.❤️

It’s now a year since receiving my Combo King Size 3 in 1 Duvet set, and I would like to share my feedback on these Duvets after putting them through the paces every single day. We used the Combo Duvets and individual Duvets at different times during the year and found them to be great for each Season - warm, comfortable, definitely helpful in easing allergies and without a doubt, provided a wonderful sound sleep! The Combo Duvet set is heavy when you handle both together to place them in the Duvet cover but once there, all is well. The construction of these duvets is exceptional and held up to the use, the fibre did not move or bunch up inside of the baffles, the ticking is of good quality and the sewing is excellent. I like to hang my Duvets on the clothesline now and then and of course on a windy day they billowed like sails in the strong wind from the sea and not one loose thread or piece of fibre to be found Originally I had a lot of questions about how these Duvets were made and the Owners were patient, took time to answer all of my questions and I’m thankful to them (I learned a lot about Alpacas and the making of a great duvet). It was a big investment, so really helpful in my decision-making to be able to speak directly with the people whose product I was investing in and the peace of mind that came with 100% satisfaction guaranteed. In addition, I purchased a few other items: A one of a kind hand-knit Alpaca scarf and wrist warmers. Both pieces are great. Dryer Balls – gifts for friends - a big hit. A face mask – very nice, breathable, soft and comfortable. Beautiful Alpaca Lopi yarn for a few knitting projects. And finally – Alpaca doggie beds – the results are in 2 very satisfied and content dogs Thank you to the Owners and thanks to those beautiful Alpacas

We've had our alpaca duvet for about a week now and this thing is fantastic. It keeps you at the perfect temperature in bed for sleeping with no cold spots while being the perfect weight for sleeping under. The added bonuses of buying from COKAL was that we were able to support a local Canadian business instead of a faceless big box store, hand-feed some alpacas and get an education on alpaca ranching from some very nice people. We ordered a Queen Alpaca Duvet and have owned it for a year. We purchased the Summer weight duvet for the warmer nights and we are so pleased we did! no more sweaty nights and uncomfortable sleeps. You can tell a lot of care and time went into making the duvet, the quality is apparent. I was impressed with Wendy's communication and professionalism, she responded quickly and it was so nice to have that personal touch that you lose with so many big companies. We love supporting local and Canadian businesses. We are also repeat customers as we will be purchasing more bedding from them this Spring! I am disappointed that there is such a negative review on this site ~ it does not align at all with the product we received or our experience! Thank you Wendy & Alfons

I bought a winter grade duvet and a pair of alpaca leggings in August/21. I love my duvet. It's well made and super warm. It feels high quality. I previously used a down duvet but I prefer this one. It's a nice weight for sleeping. I'm so glad I have it. I wear the leggings under my jeans when it's cold and they keep me toasty warm. They're soft and not itchy at all. The two items were shipped quickly and working with the owners has been awesome. My mom bought a duvet after hearing me rave about mine and they were super kind to my mom and went out of their way to help her. It's a fantastic duvet. I definitely recommend it.
